The Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act is a historic opportunity for government to advance more equitable and resilient communities. Congratulations to longtime collaborator @MitchLandrieu for being named Sr. Advisor & Infrastructure Coordinator. whitehouse.gov/briefing-room…
Under my predecessor, infrastructure week was an empty promise. Now, we’re going to make an infrastructure decade a reality.

⁦@POTUS⁩ made a great pick! ⁦@MitchLandrieu⁩ will ensure the infrastructure money hits the ground, creates jobs, & builds resiliency & racial equity. As he said in his 2010 campaign & proved as mayor, Mitch knows what to do & how to do it. wsj.com/articles/biden-to-na…

What we largely need to do” now to adapt is to “undo” mistakes-jackhammer concrete, remove roads & pavement, expand riverbanks, set back from the coast, shift to clean energy. It’s not fancy, it’s not “Dutch” & it’s not expensive but it does require hard choices.

In these dark times, try to remember that there will be a brighter day tomorrow. Remember that there is a higher power that is in control. Your job is to rise to the occasion of being the best person you can be through the peril. You will be a better person for it. @bncnews @wdsu

After January 6, I wrote to @nytopinion about how crushing it is to see what it takes to take action. Today, the work begins. We must do more to dismantle white supremacy. nytimes.com/2021/01/19/opini…

I will not forgive my Republican colleagues until they come to reconcile their own wrongdoing and apologize to the American people for putting our country in this dangerous position. They have enabled this President for four years and only now feign concern. Give me a break.

.@POTUS incited insurrection, stoked a mob to attack democracy. Since leaving office, I've withheld commenting on LA officials but this must be condemned in strongest terms. Sen. Kennedy, Reps. Scalise, Higgins & Johnson enabled his erratic behavior, putting our country in peril.

Black people in America cannot walk safely on their own streets, and these terrorists are running through the US Capitol as police exercise restraint. The confederate flag is being waved outside the doors of the Senate 155 years later. This a coup. This is a truly American story.

This is the truth. Incredible and unacceptable!! This is a stunning display of a double standard and an unbelievable security failure.

America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country. The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.
