There are a few focus/pomodoro apps for mac like @flow__app, @getcoldturkey, @heyfocusapp and @xwavesoft be focused that support blocking apps. Anyone have… any idea how they work? I’d really like to build my own thing with some specific integrations that these don’t support.

What I’ve found online is to write a kernel extension, use spctl or management profiles. I don’t think these apps are doing any of those things though. 🤔

Q 3) So were you able to find that pesky bug? @MarkKreyman A 3.1) See Q2 😄. I do have a couple more ideas to look into next time I can catch it in the act. First I need to compare some higher-level metrics at the instance level

A 3.2) to rule out that something isn't slamming those instances from the outside (load balancer or something in a retry loop) It's also possible that the problem will magically disappear someday with some library or elixir update 🤞
