Making a Difference
These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.
—Acts 17:6b NKJV
As the Son of God, Jesus was to be the perfect example for all men. His baptism by John was not one of repentance; it was rather an act of public consecration. Today, the rite of baptism is to be an outward sign of the inward work of salvation. It is a powerful witness of God’s work in an individual’s life.
As the Son of Man emerged from the waters of the Jordan, Matthew tells us that the heavens were opened; a dove descended and alighted on Jesus. The Jews were awaiting a Messiah who would rescue them from the oppression of the Romans and establish His Kingdom on earth—a warrior King. Instead, the Messiah was to be the loving Savior, Light of the World, Bread of Life, and Living Water.
Jesus would be rejected, in a sense, because He did not appear with tornadic might or the shaking of an earthquake or the destruction of a fire; He came as a still, small voice, a whisper.
Jesus came not to create chaos in the known world, but to stir your heart and mine.
There is no greater need today than to support Israel with our daily prayers. Israel is under attack and is threatened with total annihilation. But we believe in the power of prayer!
“I pray for the poor and impoverished living in Israel; the Holocaust survivors, the refugees from different lands returning home to their land. May they bring with them a divine supernatural power of the Holy Spirit to all of Israel. Protect the families who are forced to live in bomb shelters from the deadly rockets of the enemy. Let them see Your hand of compassion and divine protection upon them so they may rejoice in Your faithfulness.”
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in Whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—from violent men You save me. II Samuel 22:2-3

“Father God, raise the hedge of protection high around all of Israel. Protect her from the satanic forces that are determined to destroy her and to discredit Your prophetic promises to her. Your Word is true, Oh Lord. As she stands on the brink of nuclear war, give great wisdom to her government and military leaders. Let the enemies of Israel see Your might and power demonstrated for the victory of Israel and let those who hate Israel be confounded.”
O Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me...But You are a shield around me, O Lord; You bestow glory on me and lift up my head. Psalm 3:1,3

Recipe for Revival
I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices. —2 Chronicles 7:12 NIV
One night after the Temple dedication, Solomon retired to his chambers where the Lord appeared to him to put His final stamp on the king’s efforts. In one of the most oft-quoted verses of Scripture, God encouraged Solomon that should the people sin against Him, there was hope:
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. —2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV
God had given Solomon both the recipe for revival and the results, and that still holds true today.
This a beautiful picture of what can transpire when you are in one accord with God.

“God of Israel, today I ask that the city of Jerusalem see good from Your hand according to Your promises. We know that if You guard the city, the enemy will come against it in vain. So stand today upon the walls of Jerusalem, O Most High God.”
The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. Psalm 128:5

“Lord, as You have delivered Your people time and again in the past, I pray that You would again arise for the defense of Jerusalem. Circle over the Holy City and hide her under the shadow of Your wings. Preserve and protect Israel today, Lord, God.”
As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it. Isaiah 31:5

A Place in God's Presence
Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. —Ephesians 4:3 NLT
The building rising from the top of Mount Moriah was not just an ordinary house; it was God’s House. It was the site from which sacrifices would be made; the covering for the Ark of the Covenant that would rest inside the Holy of Holies. This was the place where God would communicate with man.
Priests in white linen filed from the Holy Place just inside the Temple doors. They joined musicians, also clad in white linen, as the trumpets began to resound. Soon they were accompanied by cymbals, harps, and psalteries, and the assembled choir began to sing.
As the voices rose toward the heavens, something inexplicable happened—the Shekinah glory of God Almighty settled on the mountaintop and filled the Temple. All came to a standstill. Instruments were silenced; the people fell prostrate to the ground in overpowering awe.
Only when God fills the house can there be such unity, such accord. Is God in control of your house today?

“Lord of Glory, as evil hearts devise wickedness against Your Holy City, I pray that You will cause their knees to bow before You. In the place where You have set Your Name, bring peace around Your throne. Even so come and bring peace to this earth.”
At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. Jeremiah 3:17

“Lord, I pray today for the safety and security of the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Their enemies are many; their friends are few. Let me be a faithful friend to them. And I ask that for the sake of Your righteous Name You will defend and deliver them from evil.”
In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness. Jeremiah 33:16

Peace and Praise
For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation…
—Ephesians 2:14 NKJV
The majority of sacrifices offered to Jehovah in Old Testament times were not consumed by those making the offering. The peace offering was to be eaten after a portion had been burnt on the altar. The remainder of the offering was returned to the presenter and then distributed to the poor. It is a perfect illustration of Jehovah’s provision—physically and spiritually; a picture of His matchless grace and kindness. The peace offering was a wonderful way to thank Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider whose grace is sufficient.
The peace offering was a foreshadowing of the One to come—the Messiah. The consistent instruction given throughout Scripture—beginning in Leviticus—is that praise springs forth from an offering that is completely satisfactory to God.
Your freedom of worship flows from the one truly acceptable offering: Jesus Christ our Lord, the matchless Son of God, the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. (See Revelation 13:8.) Because of that sacrifice, not only can we worship God in “spirit and in truth” (John 4:24 KJV), we can receive forgiveness of sin through the blood of Christ.
