A rebirth, you can’t catch me. Cheers to new beginnings, here’s to 40! 🌚 “I Tried (Live Again)” is available to pre-save on Spotify. Hit the link in the threads for my birthday. Release date is August 19th! 🌝 It’s giving a psalm for a summer resurrection.

Jess Garland’s 501c3 nonprofit called Swan Strings provides free music lessons to hundreds of local children and adults. Along the way, she’s also making sure our pool of musicians reflects the city it soundtracks. Thank you @dallas_observer 🦢🎸

“Representation matters to all groups of people,” Garland told us about Swan Strings’ work earlier this year. “It’s important to see Black people doing things outside of the narratives that have been created for us.”
