"That's how we're gonna win. Not fighting what we hate, saving what we love." #thelastjedi

For the first time in over 10 years, North Carolina has a Democratic senator! Roy Cooper served his state as governor and will continue to do so in the Senate.

FLIP: Democratic challenger @LaKeshaWomack has defeated former NC House Speaker @RepTimMooreNC, who drew his own district in NC-14. Absolutely stunning upset.

Tomorrow in North Carolina, let’s choose hope over hate, decency over division, and competence over chaos.
Let’s send @RoyCooperNC to the Senate!
Let’s re-elect Justice @Anita_Earls to the NC Supreme Court!
And let’s take back the majority in the General Assembly!

Sorry, Darline Graham, but Senate seats are not inherited.
Vote for @AnnieAndrewsMD!

Interesting connection: Annie Andrews began her political activism as a Moms Demand Action volunteer after the Parkland school shooting. After that same tragedy, Ralph Norman went viral for placing a loaded handgun on a table during a meeting with Moms Demand Action volunteers to *prove* that guns aren’t dangerous. Now, Andrews is running as a Dem for the Senate seat Norman lost the GOP nomination for, and he’s telling South Carolina voters they deserve better than the candidate who beat him.
(CNN) GOP Rep. Ralph Norman bashes Trump and Graham: South Carolina voters "deserve better"
“The voters in South Carolina are not buying the argument that everyone has to ‘settle’ for a candidate that has been propped up by special interest groups and a Republican president spending millions of dollars spreading false narratives about why Darline Graham is qualified to be elected to the U.S. Senate for the next six years!!” Norman wrote in a text message.
Norman added: “This election is about attempts to ‘force’ a candidate on the voters of S.C. And regardless of the outcome, it didn’t have to be this way as the great people living in South Carolina deserve ‘better!’ Bottom line!! Elections have consequences!!”
John Oliver: “It does feel that the Republican Party has been getting way too comfortable with some, at best, Nazi-adjacent sh*t.”
“Nazis getting power doesn’t historically bode well for anyone, including, for what it’s worth, Nazis, who didn’t exactly have the best 1945.”

There is something deeply wrong with a political system that allows one trillionaire to buy his own personal U.S. Senator.

Remember, Amy Acton didn’t make this an issue.
It was Vivek and Vance and Trump and the mother who stayed married to her daughter’s rapist.

Epstein, Trump, Max Miller, and now Amy Acton's mom...the Republican Party protects the pedophiles and the abusers, not you.

People often wonder why more good people don’t go into politics. Well, in large part, it’s because of things like what Vivek Ramaswamy did to his opponent Amy Acton. Ads like the one he put out are simply disgusting. They are examples of gutter politics, of trying to paint opponents in the most degrading light.
The ad that he and his campaign produced, endorsed, and are standing behind tells you everything about his character, or lack thereof. It tells you how low he will go. It tells you all you need to know about the kind of politician he is. I do not use the word leader because this is not the behavior of a leader.
We in this country have the opportunity in these midterm elections to elect leaders of character, of compassion, of integrity. Who treat their opponents with respect, with regard for them their history, for their families.
The good people of Ohio know gutter politics when they see it. The people of this country are going to throw men like this to the curb where they belong. May they can sit there and reflect on their behavior. They definitely shouldn’t be sitting behind a desk in a state capital or in our nation’s capital. End of story

Don’t let clever wording fool you. Republicans designed these amendments to benefit their biggest donors, not everyday North Carolinians. Vote AGAINST all three.

Thanks for coming to Raleigh, @ChrisMurphyCT. NC State is in my district, and these students deserve a polling place where they live and learn. Closing it won’t stop them from voting. It’ll just make them more determined.

Hopscotching around North Carolina today helping to kick off weekday canvases and thanking volunteers and organizers for @RoyCooperNC. So far been to Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Cary. Great vibes!

North Carolina Republicans closed the polling place on the NC State campus, so I went there today to talk to student leaders about the strategy to counteract this Trump-directed voter suppression effort.

Senator @ChrisMurphyCT stopped in to speak with our NCSU College Dems who have worked hard on tabling, voter registration, and getting students to the polls this year on campus!
Thank you for keeping the eyes of the nation on what’s happening here on the ground in the South. ✊

I don’t think you have a dog in this fight but if you did you would have shot it.
I’ll take @ellalangleymsic over Kacey Musgraves any day.
And if I’m choosin’ Texas, I’ll take Ken Paxton over James Talarico.
