When I first met him, out of awe and awkwardness I fiddled with my hair. He slapped my hand away and said 'hero ki tarah Baal mat bana...tu actor hai'!
He didn't flatter you. He didn't tell you what you wanted to hear. He told you what you needed to hear. That was Nana. Straightforward. Rough, honest and had the most beautiful smile.
He always had a strange way of showing affection. He would shout at you first, and then somewhere between the third or fourth insult, you realised you were being hugged. He loved me and I loved him back.
He was a mentor, a teacher, a critic and a friend who beat me and everyone else around him in carrom game after game and relished his victories.
Nana your intensity, laughter , madness and love will always stay with us. I just wish we had time to have more conversations, another argument, another cup of tea and a game of carrom.
You have left a void not only in the world of cinema but in the hearts of all Indians and the world. All I can say is, I will miss you dearly and carry your words in my heart till the end of time....'hero banne ke chakar mein actor mat khona'

Congratulations to the students of Jharkhand on successful struggle on JPSC matter - disciplined and peaceful demonstration without any controversy from stage is a commendable achievement. Especially, in the age where demonstrations are marred by political interference, ideologically coloured and motivated by personal and organisation agenda… like the one seen in Delhi.
#IRCTC has most pathetic interface and website - they should be tried in court for deficient services and most importantly ransom the end users through monopoly. @RailMinIndia @AshwiniVaishnaw why can’t we have #DigiYatra kind of flawless experience - same govt - different attitude and mindset has made it possible. In a country where we do USD 100 billion plus in IT exports - it’s a shame we cannnot fix our own railways reservation system to a world class booking experience - and you are not doing it free or charity - you charge hefty transaction fee on each booked ticket - in addition to the ticket price… just privatise it and see how citizen of India come forward to give work class services at fraction of cost… end this mindless, corrupt and inefficient bureaucratic system!
Jharkhand exposes hypocrisy of a large section of intelligentsia, politicians, media and so called influencers and pressure groups - on one hand these guys ran propaganda 24/7 during Jantar Mantar despite crowd being violent and abusive. On the other hand the same set of people remain silent when largely peaceful protestors are beaten up mercilessly… we as a country need to work a lot on balancing our biases and stop selective outrage… till we have achieved - we will remain victim of balancing factor - and suffer at the hands of corrupt system.
Two hours of heavy rain and barring a few spots - no waterlogging in Noida - at least expressway areas I travelled - even spots that used get flooded seemed smooth… kudos to @CeoNoida and leadership of @myogiadityanath ji! I have tons of complaints and disappointment with Noida Authority but credit where it is due! Gurgaon needs to learn from Noida or shall I say study the Noida Model.
Legal experts can answer - is it possible for govt or politicians to withdraw FIR against those on camera shown to be vandalising properties built from tax payers money? Can freedom of speech guarantee abusing individuals (forget about prime minister of the country) and have no consequences?
Use of filthy language on camera and at public places does not amount to indecency and thus punishable? There have been FIR on individuals for using abusive language in comedy show - why this double standard?
The impunity with which CJP, politicians and people from left cabals are demanding FIRs is baffling - would they have same standard if the table turned?
Selective outrage, selective use of law, applicability of criminal laws selectively, by enforcement agencies and govt in power - and top of it appeasement of one or the other kind - makes our country unpredictable, unjust and somewhat akin to banana republic to live in.
Until this is sorted - quality of life would never be like those in developed country - politics will remain fragmented - society will remain fragmented and dream of becoming developed will remain dream - not matter if it is 2047 or 2097!
This is a citizens outbursts. This is not why we supported, campaigned and voted for @BJP4India @narendramodi - you are our last hope - hoping we have some solution in sight!
Communication mechanism and effectiveness of the present govt or for that matter BJPs requires immediate and serious overhaul - it is ineffective beyond defence - especially in digital medium.
In comparison - the supporters of BJP is doing better job making a better case for them than the official communication.
Be it protests, be it talking about achievements, be it extraordinary scenarios such as Operation Sindoor - govt is always reacting. Why? Wasn’t the same party quite effective in communication prior to forming govt in 2014… how is it possible that a large party such BJP continues to rely on the aura of 3-4 top leaders who in their own right are excellent communicator… what happens to organisational machinery?!
#DharmendraPradhan resignation was long overdue since UgcFiasco - but the timing and optics is incorrect - is it indicating that you can get govt to agree only when you take to streets, do violent protest and bring #AntiIndia elements on stage.
The truth is when you don’t care about concerns raised by your own supporters - you bend the knee in front of the anarchist!
The protestors are not going to go home anytime soon - they have tasted blood and would want more… and till UP and Punjab elections are done we should brace up for more such disruptions… too much of democracy fails the democracy itself - we are in that unique scenario.
I am worried that the way this whole protest has gone by - we are seeing a generational revival of left forces in India which is a sad thing!

विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग, यूजीसी द्वारा देश के सरकारी व निजी विश्वविद्यालयों मे जातिवादी घटनाओं को रोकने के लिए जो नये नियम लागू किये गये है, जिससे सामाजिक तनाव का वातावरण पैदा हो गया है। ऐसे वर्तमान हालात के मद्देनजर रखते हुये माननीय सुप्रीम कोर्ट का यूजीसी के नये नियम पर रोक लगाने का आज का फैसला उचित
जबकि देश में, इस मामले में सामाजिक तनाव आदि का वातावरण पैदा ही नहीं होता अगर यूजीसी नये नियम को लागू करने से पहले सभी पक्ष को विश्वास में ले लेती और जाॅच कमेटी आदि में भी अपरकास्ट समाज को नेचुरल जस्टिस के अन्तर्गत उचित प्रतिनिधित्व दे देती।

Unpopular opinion: Vande Mataram is beyond debate & didn’t need a whole day of Parliament’s time.
