This video clip is so incredible. Just to see how excited people were to see President @BarackObama, shake his hand, say hello, get a hug, take a selfie. This made ME excited. What an incredible moment for these people. Made my day!!! (Still emotional) ♡♡♡

There was a time, a President walked through a park near the @WhiteHouse - No tear gas. No pepper spray.
True story.

In 1992, Paul Verhoeven asked Sharon Stone to take off her underwear for Basic Instinct. He promised the camera would not see anything.
They were shooting the famous interrogation scene. Verhoeven told her the white cotton was reflecting the studio lights. He guaranteed nothing would be visible on screen. Stone trusted him.
Months later, she sat in a screening room watching the final cut. The scene played. She realized she was completely exposed. She walked straight up to Verhoeven and slapped him across the face.
But Verhoeven tells a different story.
He claims Stone knew exactly what she was doing. According to him, she watched the playback on the monitor immediately after the shot. He says her outrage months later was pure panic, fueled by agents who told her the scene would ruin her career.
Stone called her lawyer. Under Screen Actors Guild rules, she had the legal power to force the studio to cut the shot.
In the end, she let it stay. She admitted it was exactly what the character would do.
The consequences were a mix of massive success and a hidden trap.
Financially, Basic Instinct grossed over $350 million worldwide. Stone was paid a flat fee of $500,000. Since she was not a proven star before filming, her contract had no backend points. The studio made hundreds of millions off that single shot. She saw zero extra dollars from the box office.
Career-wise, the scene made her a global superstar, but it boxed her in. For the next decade, Hollywood only wanted her to play the cold seductress. She had to fight aggressively to prove she was a serious dramatic actress.
That struggle eventually led to her Oscar-nominated role in Casino, which finally allowed her to command $5 to $7 million per film.
As for the director, the broken trust was permanent. Stone and Verhoeven never worked together again.

Don Jr. mocks Democrats as stupid while claiming they want to “make Ohio a state.” Ohio has been a state since 1803. Maybe the Trumps should master a little geography before handing out lessons in intelligence.

Halloween 3 years ago I set up the zombies of John, Paul, George and Ringo to walk across Abbey Road on my front lawn. It was glorious and people were posing with The Beatles all day. 👻👻👻👻

Rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart, who passed away today at the age of 86. Perhaps best known for his iconic role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Stewart spent the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown sharing videos of himself reading Shakespeare’s sonnets. Notably, he was once joined by his neighbor’s cat Glenn who appeared unimpressed by Sonnet 40.

RIP Patrick Stewart. What an actor. I still can’t believe he agreed to do this scene. And he didn’t even mind when I ruined every take. Legend.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Not me. I research facts. Politicians and police can lie. Republicans are the worse on lies and fears. Only 1% of the US population are trans and are not causing any major problems.
What should they be addressing? Ending this stupid trump Iran war, bringing prices down, inflation down and quit letting billionaires pay no taxes, get billions in grants, free land and they control our country- we are becoming a plutocracy and a kleptocracy because Trump and republicans are greedy and taking billionaire $ and letting it happen. Wake up!

No surprise here, call to limit Ukraine's drones came from our own White House which had a call from Putin requesting special favors. It's spelled Treason.
