Cheaper systems in the Army's inventory with which Romania can shoot down Russian drones include: the Hawk missile system, Oerlikon guns, Gepard, OSA missiles, Strela, Kub, Volhov, or 30mm and 100mm anti-aircraft guns. A large part of these has been sent to Ukraine as part of the 23 military aid packages. So far, the drones have not been shot down because the areas they enter are unpopulated. Poland, too, has not shot down all 19–23 drones that violated its airspace, only those heading toward populated areas.
