Liquid staked SOL has grown 23% in the last 30 days to $6.4B, from $5.2B, with jitoSOL holding the top spot among @Solana liquid staking tokens at $1.26B.
When we spoke to Kevin Beardsley (@kbeards), Head of Product at @jtx_trade / @jito on @_TalkingTokens back in May, he said staking demand will keep growing with Solana as institutions look for capital efficiency:
"[Staking] continues to grow, and I think it will grow along with the Solana ecosystem.
As institutions come onchain more and more, and they want capital efficiency, I think things like liquid staking tokens are a huge innovation for them.
[It] allows you to have a representation of the asset that still accumulates the value of the rewards, while still having it be fully liquid."
