The school board proudly recognized Lt. Robby McClure for the 20 years of service that he provided as the school resource officer @SEHS_Tigers. After more than 26 years in law enforcement, he is officially retiring from the sheriff's department. #LCSDExcellence

βWe are going to shock the world fella.β Dogs ran wild!
26 years ago today, unranked Mississippi State Bulldogs pulled off a major upset against the #3 Florida Gators under head coach Jackie Sherrill, handing Steve Spurrier's squad a stunning loss. Mississippi State racked up 517 yards of total offense, including an overwhelming 351 yards on the ground. Bulldogs beat the Gators 47 to 35.
The school board has kicked off its annual tour of campuses. While @CdaleBulldogs, members examined the campus's progress and needs. As Clarkdale continues to grow, so does the district's commitment to making sure students and staff have what they need to thrive. #LCSDExcellence
οΏΌοΏΌβItβs a bold strategy cotton.β
The Protect College Sports Act just passed the U.S. Senate 77-22.
If youβre a college football fan, hereβs what you NEED to know:
- Players are guaranteed ONE free transfer. Transfer again and you sit out a year
- Schools could have access to as much as $27.5M in additional retention spending on top of the House settlement revenue-sharing structure
- The NCAA gets limited antitrust protection to enforce rules around eligibility, transfers and compensation (so the ncaa doesn't get taken to court every day)
β’ 5 years of eligibility becomes the national standard
- Coaches would be restricted from leaving for another FBS job in the middle of the season (finally)
- NIL stays, but there would be one national framework with tighter rules around booster/associated-entity payments
- Players get federal protections for scholarships, healthcare and NIL rights
This would be one of the biggest changes to the structure of college sports in decades!
Important: It is NOT law yet. It now heads to the House.

We are proud to see growth in our district in more ways than one. In fact, following the school board's tour of the campus, the group is exploring options to add more classrooms there. Here's more on the visit. #LCSDExcellence #BuildforWhatsNext
