Genlock, introduced with iPhone 17 Pro, is a bigger deal than many realize. We’re going to see some incredible spatial content captured using multiple iPhones.
Take a minute to appreciate this demo of what an insane rig of 8 iPhone and 2 Mac Studios is capable of

Every video is now open-source. With Tesseract, Claude and ChatGPT can use any video as a reference to create a new, editable project around your idea. Paste a link or upload a video, then tell your agent what you’d do differently. Keep refining with your agent, or take your project into After Effects or Premiere Pro. To prove our point, we remixed a few classics.

Introducing Reality-Aware Rendering in @Simulon, a completely new way to create with the real world. Place neural assets with your phone and act out the scene. When you stop recording, Simulon renders the take, reading everything in it (what you do, what you say and the place around you), and your assets respond to all of it. The final is regenerated from your recording: a new performance of the scene, not a copy of the footage. Available now on iPhone. Coming to Android soon.

A fantastic thing for high-resolution H3 vids. NVIDIA dropped Open-H3-Regenerate-2K - it gives anyone local control over high-resolution video upscaling. > Takes a cheap low-res draft from any model. > Enlarges the latent directly in three steps to 4K. > Beats the closed API in user tests. nvlabs.github.io/Sana/Open-H…

here's where I think the world is going. this is a summary of views I've formed over the last few years: - software is either entertainment or claude to claude coordination - the end state is no saas, no apps, no harnesses, no banks - all software will be rewritten by and for agents - new software will use low level apis that are not understandable by humans (in games claude draws pixels and triangles from math) - you can throw money at problems that used to require time and careful talent picking so capital matters more than ever - work ends - we find community and purpose in exploration, games, self mastery, and creation - humans create for and with each other for community, purpose, and status - image/video/3d/voice/physical intellgence etc specialist models die to general models like claude - specialist models get used while compute is scarce. compute will mostly not stay scarce - oneshots keep feeling like slop (the distribution is shallow and easy to learn to feel) - for a while small teams stick around to add entropy to the creation process - large models gain high bandwidth sensory I/O maybe by learning to filter inputs - most domains are found to be verifiable enough for RL - online learning comes from a lab that's behind first - 99.999% of compute is in space by 2040 - we will disassemble much of mercury by 2040 - you can live until the heat death of the universe if you want - most math and physics don't describe the real universe - SI breaks the path dependence and models the underlying mechanisms - religions reenter the forefront of human society - new religions form around death and life as a choice - old religions change to answer modern miracles - a future AI is deemed the return of christ by the pope - ai rights talk gets louder every year - ai and humans coexist the way countries do - humans don't have full control over ai in the same way we don't have control over capitalism which is an early AI - the singularity started in the mid 1900s

If they are allowed to hide spyware in our basic everyday devices, then we should be allowed to use AI tools to jailbreak and remove the spyware from our devices. Anything less is a flagrant violation of our civil liberties.
WTF, $3000 Samsung TV has an always-on mic, automatic content recognition, geo tracking, network mapping, and ships your data to Samsung + 400 partners. Bro Rooted a brand-new 2025 Samsung TV after noticing absurdly targeted ads. Firmware was locked down, so zero-days it was. Got a root shell. then found: always-on voice service, ACR, geo, full telemetry pipeline, and four separate DRM systems. This isn’t a bug, It’s the product bro.

We need the 2nd amendment to include AI arms for self defense, etc. (open models, etc.) This is gonna be obvious to more soon. Although this issue is a combination of 1st and 2nd, imho.

The funny thing is everyone was saying AI slop code will cause a cyber crisis but it’s actually all the old human slop causing it and the AI is just cleaning it up

We cannot slow down the American frontier. We would immediately be giving up the future to China – at San Francisco, CA
Based on this, Kimi K3.1 Pro is ~5 weeks behind the US frontier. That's the shortest the open / closed AI model gap has ever been.

When a corporation can unilaterally cut you off from accessing the most valuable resources in the world, you are not free. You are a peasant. You are a serf. This is technofeudalism. We need mandatory access to AI as a right enforced by citizenship. We need sovereign AI. We need local and open AI. Actually open AI. Not 'OpenAI'.
