Great work by @vipuljairath on Verdict. Does this mean we should no longer take random biopsies for histologic healing? It would certainly be a cost savings! @EdwardLoftus2 @ibddocmaria @Bealoquebea @charlie_lees

@my_ueg week starts Saturday. My preview is up on Atomic IBD.
The hour not to miss is Monday 10:00 in the UEG Forum. VERDICT, then STRIDE-III thirty minutes later. Two answers to the same question.
For me the VERDICT question that matters isn't histology against symptoms. It's histology against endoscopy... will the trial have the number of events to answer it?
Then FUZION at 48 weeks (how good does it get? will we see a difference between doses?), obefazimod's maintenance data (all eyes on this), PROFILE at five years, and a long list of new molecules (the PDE4s are back).
Day-by-day guide in the image. Full preview in the reply.

En cualquier actividad intelectual el buen uso del lenguaje es básico. Es triste constatar cómo lo maltratamos constantemente. Me siento derrotado, pero seguiré en la brecha.

To breaking therapeutic ceiling the ONLY realistic tool (for now) is EARLY effective treatment avoiding steroids or strictly limiting its use. New treatments will change and improve in the future, but EARLY is a real key word.
