Shame on Big Tech for their lies, but double shame on the Indiana public regulator ββ with the duty to protect the public ββ for signing secret, sweetheart deals for Big Tech and paid for by ordinary customers.
Publicly owned utilities pay back more to their communities than for-profit ones. Learn more about #PublicPower from ILSR's podcast series about communities trying to go public: vist.ly/5meig

Sports gambling is ruining sports.
And people still wonder why communities are concerned about data center water use?
The average household water bill has gone up about 62% over the last ten years. And when your water is privately owned, it's even worse.
The typical family whose water is privately owned pays almost twice as much as a family who has a public water supply, per @foodandwater.

I'm guessing because they think that if Dems are up 6 points in TX and 4 in OH, then Flanagan is up by 10 or more.

If your electric utility was publicly owned, you'd probably have a lower bill. #PublicPower vist.ly/5mafn
Gas stoves kept pumping out pollution even when turned off: About a third of fossil-fueled kitchens produced NO2 levels outside of business hours that exceeded health standards. The culprit was pilot lights.
You wouldn't sit in your running gas car in your garage, so why do you accept poisoning yourself in your own kitchen with a gas stove? vist.ly/5m8ua h/t @AlisonTakemura @canarymedia
Rising electricity demand is driving up prices. Faster solar #interconnection = more affordable power, sooner. States that cut red tape now help their residents save before the final #solartaxcredit deadline. #GridUnlocked gridunlocked.org
One of the best news stories of 2026
After a federal judge ruled that EPA's killing of the $7B Solar for All program was illegal, nonprofits and companies are ready to relaunch solar projects to help low-income residentsβif the Trump administration obeys aΒ court order to give them theΒ money:

Still one of the best "make you think" ads of all time
For-profit utilities cost more, clearly shown in this state-issued analysis of privatizing Santee Cooper in S.C. So when investor-owned utilities claim that it's expensive to switch to public power, they're lying.
I love hearing these stories of using AI agents to get through the barriers that companies have erected to prevent us from getting help: nytimes.com/2026/09/22/technβ¦. (until websites block the agents)
Funny how the Supreme Court is so obsessed with the President's ability to fire agency heads and so little with his oath of office to "faithfully execute" his role to implement laws passed by Congress.
"Under the Trump administration, the EPA has stopped estimating the public health benefits of reducing pollution in the cost-benefit analyses necessary for clean-air regulations. Instead, the agency has estimated only the costs to businesses of complying with the rules."
Translation: Public health benefits get zero weight in any cost-benefit analysis under the Trump administration. So long as the coal industry stands to profit from planet-warming pollution, then they have the right to pollute with impunity. This is your government on libertarianism.

BREAKING: Rep. Thomas Massie has introduced articles of impeachment against Pete Hegseth.
Massie alleges that Hegseth has waged the war against Iran illegally, among other "high crimes and misdemeanors."
He is also asserting that Hegseth initiated the conflict unlawfully, defied Congress' order to withdraw from the conflict, and incurred unnecessary civilian casualties.
