After a year of development, I'm excited to finally introduce ARTIFACT-01, a limited-edition (1/300) mechanical keyboard. Our vision for ARTIFACT-01 was to create a device that could not only serve as a performant gaming peripheral, but also as a statement piece on your desk. To achieve this, we partnered with @maxvoltar, an accomplished software and keyboard designer. INSPIRATION We wanted to create a keyboard that could be an artifact of the past, yet also reside in the future; it should invoke a sense of nostalgia yet allude to an uncertain tomorrow. Initial Moodboard Initial Render MANUFACTURING ARTIFACT-01's custom design is made possible by @salvun, a respected small-batch workshop in Belgium behind many of the grail keyboards in the enthusiast community. Each keyboard is individually milled from a solid block of aerospace-grade aluminum sourced from Germany. PRODUCTION Most enthusiast keyboards only come with the case/frame, but we wanted to create an experience that could onboard more people into the hobby. ARTIFACT-01 is hand-assembled, polished, and ready to use out of the box. To accomplish this, we worked with @Protozoa_Studio to bring all the pieces together. Each ARTIFACT-01 arrives in a beautifully designed box, housed in precision-milled foam. Each keyboard will be accompanied by a pair of white gloves and a metal artisan keycap sporting the VALHALLA logo. Packaging Render (ex. exterior designs) SCHEDULE The ARTIFACT-01 will be available for purchase by the general public at the end of Q1. Holders of VALHALLA will be able to reserve one ahead of time and receive exclusive holder pricing. CONCLUSION We're excited to finally showcase the first physical manifestation of the VALHALLA brand. Over the next few weeks, we'll be releasing a 3-part video series showcasing our partners who have made the ARTIFACT-01 possible. We'll also work on getting these into the hands of a few select gamers, streamers, and mechanical keyboard creators for their review ahead of launch; please be on the lookout for those reviews. Thanks for reading. END.
