David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.

DAVID LYNCH has passed away. We have lost one of the greatest directors in history, a superlative artist. A unique and timeless cultural figure. Forever in our memory, forever in our hearts. Long live The Greatest.
Very cool to see my horror script BLOODY MINGO made the 2024 Black List. Hope to have some news to share soon about my 2022 Black List script THE MIDNIGHT POOL. @theblcklst is such a great resource for writers trying to break in. #BlackList2024 hollywoodreporter.com/movies…
And a lot of credit to my agent Dave Alexander @TheGershAgency and my managers @PolishErthquake and Jason Tamasco at TRACTION for getting my stuff out to the town.

Just finished reading this batshit crazy book. 10/10. Unlike anything I have ever read. 100% recommended.

The great Donald Sutherland has passed away. Among his many incredible film credits is JFK where he delivers a powerhouse performance in just a few short minutes in his one and only scene in the movie

his opening monologue in MICHAEL CLAYTON is so incredible, the same as the five seconds he’s in SENSE & SENSIBILITY. a character actor for the ages.

Sorry to hear of the demise, after a long illness, of one of the greatest songwriters of my generation, Shane MacGowan. The Pogues reinvigorated folk music in the early 80s and his songs put the focus onto lyric writing, opening doors for the likes of myself and others.

So happy to see my sci-fi thriller pilot “The Trade” on this list! Thank you @screencrafting
