NEW: Brian Kelly confirms interest in Florida State's head coaching job:
"I’ve got a great history with Florida State, great games. I know what that’s like, the history and tradition of Florida State, playing in that state, and the fan base. So anytime you have an incredibly brand driven, great tradition and history, there’s a want and desire to be part of somebody that has had that success and, certainly, leading that program, from anyone’s perspective, would be an honor and privilege."

Thankful for @kenbabby and the ownership group for sending all of us @RaysBaseball employees out to Milwaukee for the World Series! Big time! Brewers fans I enjoyed my time here and love y’all but I’ll be rooting on the Rays this series! #Raysup

Blake Griffin calls out NBA Insiders
"They know the rules, but they don't necessarily follow them if the rules get in the way. They're like the Jack Reacher of sports reporting... And if an insider gets a scoop wrong, what happens? Nothing. It's just on to the next scoop. It's a job with a huge profile and zero accountability — like a weatherman or a politician."

What does this say about the organization that players on active rosters elsewhere in the league are coming back to watch this game?

Everyone always wants to dunk on the Rays outside of Tampa Bay… but how many other teams this Postseason, shoot in any Postseason, have former players shining elsewhere visiting to support? Players, fans, people like it here. Period.

No bigger red flag as a journalist than when powerful people or their allies start issuing prebuttals to a story you haven’t even put out. Only means you’re getting closer to valuable information

You don’t get games like this anymore because they changed the clock rules in order to run more ads.

I wrote this four years ago and it still applies. The people who run college football conferences don’t get the regular season *is* the sport and rivalries are more important than the tv markets. The playoffs should be additive to that, not replacing that. Sad.
