Huge thanks to the pilot and crew of @easyJet flight 820 from Belfast to Gatwick yesterday afternoon (4/1). Despite a six hour delay - most of which was on the tarmac - they did a great job of keeping us informed, negotiating with the airport & looking after everyone in the cabin

But a register alone does not go far enough, nor does a ban on relationships which focusses primarily on the nature of the underlying institutional relationship, rather than the nature of the personal/intimate relationship

I also think it’s right to presume that certain types of relationship are inherently problematic, and to advise staff and students accordingly. This involves considering not only the individuals’ institutional positions but also, as above, the various axes of potential inequality
