6,509 children killed in residential schools.
6,509 children whose parents didn't know where they were, who these schools lied to so they couldn't get closure.
6,509 children that could have grown into 6,509 adults and helped our communities rebuild our languages and cultures.
As has been said here by everybody, @MzMcKeown has been doing the work - leading, educating, dismantling, disrupting. Such necessary work. And then to not be supported by our own federation is ridiculous & infuriating. This is a huge loss

Doesn’t matter if ur math, science, art, business or whatever. Removing anti-racism language from curriculum impacts us all. Ss bring these teachings into each of our classes & we need to support each other in doing this work. Thanks @realJ_Mitchell & others 4 calling this BS out

WHERE and WHO we get mathematical knowledge from, shapes the content of the math being taught. The math traditionally taught in US schools is sourced primarily from the contributions of White European Men.
