Tonight's #eastenders introduction, reusing part of the original continuity script from 1985. 40 years on, the BBC1 COW (Computer Originated World) still looks glorious.

Kinda loving working in Central London again, not least because I treat myself to a Leon breakfast when I’m in the office 😝

Today is the 20th anniversary of The X Factor! ‘The UK’s biggest and toughest talent search’ ran for 15 years, becoming one of the most watched TV series ever with a peak of 20 million viewers, before falling to 2 million in 2019 - only to never return.

The Paralympics start tonight at 6.30! And our scheduling team may have had a bit of fun with the TV descriptions for the day.... #C4Paralympics
A screenshot of the Channel 4 TV guide for the day. There are four examples of shows where the show description has been altered to celebrate the Paralympics. The first is showing a shot from Frasier, with Frasier in an Uncle Same costume, with the text reading "Frasier struggles to throw out an old pot. He could do with some help from Javelin World Champion Hollie Arnold, who's really good at throwing. The Paralympics start today." The next is a shot from the Simpsons, showing Marge talking to Lisa in bed, with the text: "Jumping forward 10 years, Lisa writes her Harvard admission essay. Maddie Down will also be hoping for a big leap as she competes in the long Jump in Paris. The Paralympics start today!" It's all very silly.

Oh my god @BBCMaryam. Snoop Dogg is a torchbearer: "Luckily, whilst he was carrying the torch he didn't drop like it's hot, drop it like it's hot."
