Benjamin Moser, author of Anti-Zionism: A Jewish History, told Rashid Khalidi that his 80-year-old mother, who had all but called him a Hamas member, apologized after reading his book: โIโm ashamed I ever said I was a Zionist.โ
His book traces Jewish opposition to Zionism over the past century and challenges their exclusion in discussions over Palestine. โNo, you donโt get to set the rules anymore. Weโre setting the rules now,โ Moser said.
Khalidi added that he had never seen so many people change their views so rapidly, noting that major publishers are now embracing books on Palestine that would have been virtually unpublishable just three or four years ago.

This is not Gaza. This is Hebron today.
The Israeli occupation has begun destroying Palestineโs economic capital, a city that accounts for 75% of the countryโs production in the stone and marble, leather and footwear, plastics, glass, oils, dairy, and gold industries.
Ethnic cleansing is being inflicted on the Palestinian people everywhere across the land of Palestine.

Israeli War Minister Israel Katz has announced that more than 2,000 Palestinians forced out of their homes in a neighborhood of Hebron will not be allowed to return until what he called the full destruction of โHamas infrastructureโ across the city, in what Israelโs Channel 14 describes as the โJenin modelโ applied to Hebron.
The order comes as Israeli forces carry out a large-scale invasion of the city as collective punishment, one that, according to the latest Israeli reports, has not found any weapons.

A war is coming to the West Bank
Yesterday Palestinian resistance fighters conducted a surgical strike against Israeli occupation soldiers, fully in accordance with international law.
In response, Israeli government immediately announced that they will do war crimes and started doing war crimes.
All the Palestinian villages in the West Bank are under siege, the city of Hebron is under siege. IDF is demolishing house after house, raiding family after family. They said they want to turn Hebron into Rafah.
More than 250 families were kicked out into the streets with nothing. People slept on the street last night.
The Israeli election is in 3 days, and the Netanyahu-Smotrich government is going to use this to start a war in the West Bank.
The only way to stop this is pressure from all directions. We know it works. International pressure worked for the besieged house in Qusra, which still belongs to the Palestinians because of the all-around attention. It can work for Hebron too.
But it will require EVERYONE reading this doing everything they can to stop this. Call your representative, hold a demonstration, organise direct action against the occupationโs assets abroad. Keep attention on the West Bank.
ACT NOW.

A landmark trial accusing Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and 34 senior political and military figures of crimes against humanity had its first formal hearing in Istanbul today.
Turkish prosecutors have charged 35 Israeli defendants, including Netanyahu and ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Israel Katz, with torture, unlawful deprivation of liberty, aggravated robbery, vessel hijacking and crimes against humanity in relation to last yearโs Gaza aid flotilla. They are also accused of genocide in Palestine.
The trial had its first formal hearing this morning following the issuing of arrest warrants in July and Turkish requests for an Interpol red notice in August. Charges are being pursued under universal jurisdiction, which allows countries to address international crimes occurring abroad.
The case focuses primarily on incidents surrounding the illegal interception of boats from the 2025 Global Sumud Flotilla mission.
On 31 August 2025, more than 50 ships carrying around 500 participants from 44 countries set off from Barcelona to break Israelโs illegal blockade of Gaza and deliver aid to those trapped there.
The flotilla was subject to a number of drone attacks, most notably off the coasts of Tunisia and Greece, before being illegally intercepted by Israel in international waters. Those on board were detained and have accused Israeli forces of subjecting them to human rights abuses including rape, assault, degrading treatment, withholding of medical care and more.
Turkey negotiated the release of hundreds of participants, including a Novara Media contributor, on charter flights to Istanbul, where legal and medical teams gathered evidence of severe mistreatment.
โThis trial is not just about seeking justice for the 101 victims represented in this case; it is a fundamental challenge to the doctrine of impunity," said the Global Sumud Flotilla legal team. "When states use armed force against unarmed civilians attempting to deliver life-saving relief to a starved population, individuals within that chain of command must face judicial scrutiny."
The trial in Istanbul comes as prosecutors in Rome, Italy, expand an investigation into Israeli officials for the mistreatment of 50 Italian participants of Global Sumud Flotilla missions. Officials including Ben-Gvir, Katz, IDF chief of staff Eyal Zamir and 11 others are being investigated for suspected torture, kidnapping, personal injury, robbery, property damage and damage causing danger of shipwreck.

Buried on page 30 of 'Sir' David Bellend's report into antisemitism in schools in the UK it explicitly says there hasn't been a rise in antisemitism, only in anti-Israel sentiment. Astonishingly fraudulent crisis/debate, all to shield a genocidal state

I'm not going to name the school, but the @BBC's coverage of the antisemitism in schools report featured interviews with children from a Jewish school.
Here's the rub, though.
The school's own published curriculum explicitly teaches Zionism, celebrates the establishment of Israel and describes preparing pupils to become "positive advocates for Israel" at university.
It even references bringing in organisations such as StandWithUs to prepare pupils for that advocacy.
Now, let me be absolutely clear. There is nothing wrong with teaching Jewish history, culture or identity. And antisemitism must be challenged wherever it exists.
But when children are actively encouraged to advocate for a particular state, rather than critically examine its history, policies and actions, surely we have to question whether this is education or ideological conditioning?
And here's the staggering hypocrisy.
We're being told that schools must exercise political impartiality when discussing Palestine, while a school can openly describe preparing children to advocate for Israel.
Political impartiality cannot be a principle applied selectively, depending on which side of a conflict children are encouraged to support.
And the BBC has a responsibility to scrutinise that distinction, not simply present children's views without examining the educational environment in which those views have developed.
Children deserve an education that teaches them how to think, not what to think.

The killing and violence Israel is responsible for are escalating across the West Bank. But the Elimination Project that Israel is carrying out goes far beyond that. As our head of field research Kareem Jubran explains, it is about dismantling the conditions that allow Palestinians to exist as a people, a society and a collective in their homeland.
The Elimination Project is an ongoing process that affects every aspect of life. It involves demolishing homes, expelling communities, taking over land and water sources, destroying livelihoods and suppressing political and social organizing. Israel prevents people from getting to work, going to school or harvesting olives on their own land. Violence by soldiers and settler militias keeps millions of Palestinians in a constant state of fear, turning even simple everyday activities into potential threats to their lives and physical safety.
This is the Elimination Project: a set of mechanisms working together to push Palestinians off their land and dismantle their ability to live together as an independent society, with their own institutions, identity, rights and future. At the same time, Israel is expanding and deepening its control and Jewish presence across the West Bank.
How do all these mechanisms work together? Watch our short film about the Elimination Project that Israel is carrying out in the West Bank >> btselem.org/the_elimination_โฆ
Despite promises to curb settler violence during the olive harvest, Israeli forces are busy this morning blocking Palestinians & activists from reaching their land. In Taybeh @the_andrey_x who documented the attack on Heidi Levine, was just arrested

๐ข Among the Israelis who attacked Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine is the reservist filmed last year ramming his ATV into a Palestinian man as he prayed by the road, Israeli Channel 13 reporter Yossi Eli reported.
The reservist ran over the man in Deir Jarir in December 2025, after firing shots in the area, the Israeli military said at the time. The army ended his service, and Israeli media reported his punishment was being held under house arrest for five days. He was later released, and no indictment was ever filed against him, Eli reported.
Israeli police say they have arrested 10 suspects over the weekend attacks on Levine and European diplomats.

I repeated DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 benchmark 89 times across 9 harnesses to understand which works best.
High effort, 5 attempts each:
Pi harness: 40.4
Grok Build CLI: 40.4
DeekSeek: 39.2
OpenCode 2.0: 38.6
OpenCode: 36.6
Claude Code: 36.4
Codex: 33.2
Hermes Agent: 32
Kilo Code: 31.8
Codex kept failing several times exceeding the allowed time per repo (3 hours) and was judged where it finished.
Based on what I tested, Pi, Grok Build CLI, and OpenCode 2.0 look like the strongest universal harnesses. This doesn't necessarily generalize.
A detailed table with every run in the response๐งต
Turns out DeepSeek harness improves the score of DeepSeek V4.1 Flash by 2-3 points on average.
It also costs 80% more due to subagents and more output tokens.
New results:
DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 + Claude Code harness:
- max, mean of 7: 39.1
- high, mean of 5: 36.4
- low, mean of 5: 34.4
DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 + DeepSeek harness:
- max, mean of 7: 42.7

- low, mean of 5: 34.8
For comparison:
GPT-6 Astra, max: 45
Opus 5.5, max: 41.7
Muse Wonder Full 1.0, max: 42
It's a crazy model, and the only one catched cheating. All the results are available on the benchmark website.
