Currently doing Berger’s Ways of Seeing with my high school poetry students. It’s so exciting to them, and they talk about being consumed by Instagram and TikTok. I think teens need Berger desperately right now. We need a Ways of Seeing that addresses accelerationist aesthetics.

David Foster Wallace was exactly right when he said that your ability to derive meaning comes down to your ability to concentrate. It's so painfully true I uninstalled Instagram.

Memory is the seamstress, and a capricious one at that. Memory runs her needle in and out, up and down, hither and thither. We know not what comes next, or what follows after. - Virginia Woolf

grief has hammered me into a specific shape & i’m slowly remembering all the things i used to do when i was capable of other shapes, versions of me that hadn’t experienced so much change so quickly. it’s like regrowing phantom limbs, a familiar stretch i didn’t know i’d forgotten
it’s hard to tell how much grief has made your life smaller until you start to come out of it

really loving someone is like having your heart walking around outside of your body doing whatever it likes. how can that not precipitate some degree of terror lol

Finally nayli.me OS is able to render a photobooth-inspired camera and also a piggy bank. A 10x engineer in London today helped me debug quite a few things @polar_sh — can you help me get Apple Pay on this?

Last year, this piece moored me. For more than 9 months— and it still does. I get dizzy when I look at it.
