It’s weird how all these right wingers keep getting charged with the election fraud. There must be some mistake - they’re the paragons of election security!! 🤣🤣🤣
BREAKING: James O'Keefe and Cam Higby have just been charged with identity theft and unlawful voting in Minnesota, charges stemming from hidden camera videos they made in August about the state's vouching system for voter registration. w/ @londonoe nytimes.com/2026/10/28/us/ja…

Your grandparents probably have a little round scar on their upper arm from the smallpox vaccine. Nobody gets that shot anymore, because 49 years ago this week the disease caught its last person in the wild, a 23-year-old cook who hopped in a stranger's car to give directions. His name was Ali Maow Maalin, and he worked in the kitchen at a hospital in Merca, Somalia. A driver pulled up one day looking for an isolation camp, with two sick kids in the back seat. Ali got in to point the way. He'd never been properly vaccinated, even though the hospital was supposed to cover all its staff, so that short ride was enough. About ten days later he came down with a fever. Doctors told him it was malaria, then chickenpox, and by the time anyone realized what he really had, the last wild smallpox on the planet had been walking around a port town for days. The eradication team tracked down every person he'd been near and vaccinated all of them. Nobody else got sick, including every patient he'd been cooking for. Then the world held its breath for two years. WHO put up a cash reward for anyone who could find one more case, and nobody ever did. In May 1980 they made it official, and smallpox became the first human disease ever wiped off the face of the earth. And this thing was enormous. Smallpox killed around 300 million people in the 1900s alone, more than both World Wars combined. 9/11 killed 2,977. In 1967, the year the final push started, smallpox killed about 2 million, which is like losing nearly two 9/11s every day, all year long, to one virus. The whole global campaign cost about $300 million over 12 years. The US earns back everything it put in every 26 days, just in vaccines it never has to give again. Wall Street would kill for that kind of return. Good news like this is easy to miss because it shows up as funerals that slowly stop happening, spread across years, in places most of us will never visit. Nobody pins a date on that. The records can't even agree whether Ali's rash appeared on October 26 or the 27th. Ali spent the rest of his life going door to door in Somalia, vaccinating kids against polio. He died of malaria in 2013, out in the middle of a polio campaign, still trying to help the world wipe out a second one.
I’ve asked this before but is there any historical event that is like the Opposite of 9/11. Like something so good that happened that it changed the world forever

A high school girl in Mexico just won a gold medal for putting out fires with a speaker. It plays one deep, low hum and the flames die in about 5 seconds. DARPA tried the same idea back in 2012 with a rig so big and clunky they never took it any further, and hers runs on a 12-volt battery and a speaker she can carry around. Sound is just air being pushed back and forth. A low note at 30 hertz means the air around the flame is flipping direction 30 times every second. Flames only exist in a thin layer where fuel vapor mixes with oxygen. Shake that layer hard enough and it keeps getting stretched thinner, the heat gets pulled away faster than the flame can make more, and eventually the flame rips right off the fuel. Whatever tears off is too cool to keep burning, so it just goes out. DARPA's report put a number on how little it takes. Once the air at the flame is moving about half a meter per second, which is barely a breeze, the flame goes out, and pretty much any pitch can get there if you crank the power high enough. Low notes just get you there way cheaper, because a speaker moves a lot more air on each push when the pitch is low. Two engineering students at George Mason figured this out by trial and error in 2015. They started with super high pitches, 20,000 to 30,000 hertz, and all the flames did was shiver. It only worked once they dropped down to 30 to 60 hertz, which is basically the bass on a hip-hop track. Ángela Karime's build is a 12-volt battery, a frequency generator, an amplifier and a speaker, tuned to 30 hertz. She named it Vortex Tech and talks about it shooting out little rings of air, and that's real physics. When loud, low sound gets pushed through a narrow opening, the air curls up into rings like a smoke ring, and those rings carry a puff of air way farther than the sound would get on its own. In her tests it put out small flames from about 2 meters away. She went through five prototypes and over 100 tests in about a year, and she says it's put out burning wood, flammable liquids, electronics and cooking oil. The cooking oil one is a big deal. Throw water on a grease fire and it flashes into steam and flings burning oil all over your kitchen, which is exactly the kind of fire where you'd want something that doesn't put anything into the pan. Now, sound can't cool anything down, so a big fire sitting on red-hot fuel can come right back the second the speaker shuts off. The George Mason guys worried about the same thing in 2015, and it's why this is still a prototype for small flames and the red extinguisher under your sink isn't going anywhere yet. Space might end up being where this matters first. Up there water floats off in blobs, while sound works the same with or without gravity, and acoustics researchers have already published experiments on fighting fires with sound on spacecraft. She's still in high school, and she's already working on a version that spots a fire and puts it out by itself. The gold in Indonesia also came with a special award that gets her into another international competition.

Remember back last September when Trump went five days without being a national embarrassment or violating the Consitution and we all just assumed he had died?

People who complain about Spanish being spoken in the U.S. should remember that: Spanish was spoken here 250 years before English. It is the oldest non-native language in the U.S. Sincerely, The Latina libtard😉

I want to ask Trump if he's ever ridden an incumbent bicycle just to see if he says yes and talks about he is the greatest incumbent bike rider ever and could have gone to the Olympics.

Fuck yeah. I’ve got a bunch of GOP voter fraud to report. Let’s start with the 3 dudes who voted from Scott Pressler’s house
"Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud!" - President Donald J. Trump 🇺🇸

Actually, different salaries should only affect how luxurious your life is, not your food quality or ability to afford rent. If you work 40 hours at any job, your income should be enough to live in the town you work in. Thinking otherwise is an abysmal indicator of your humanity

But this shit is true Jeson Flores, the man who pulled off the largest jewelry heist in history, was out on bond ICE picks him up, says hey, you want to be deported? This fucker is like, yeah, deport me bitch So without any other police work done by these Gestapo fucking tools, they deport his ass to Ecuador & now 100 million worth of gold and diamonds still hasn’t been recovered
