This is a list of CONGREGANT SHELTERS the city is planning to open this month during a SURGE!! 😡 WHO at @SF_DPH thinks this is good health policy?!?! Or is it simply because certain residents of SF are tired of seeing tents?!?! – at San Francisco, CA

SF’s homeless are disproportionately Black/LGBTQ+, communities that are also disproportionately targeted & harmed by police. Want to do something about it? Join @CVH_Allies's Days of Action this week:

Perhaps the greatest anti-slavery speech ever uttered is “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July,” by Frederick Douglass, in 1852. I wanted to make the speech more accessible. Here’s a thread with an abridged version of the speech we should reread every #FourthofJuly. 1/

We are finally seeing real urgency and change in the TL. Over 500 people brought overwhelmingly into hotels over last 3 weeks.
This is what we wanted and envisioned when we all worked so hard to pass our hotel legislation, for the TL and entire city.

SFPD was asked to cut their budget by only 4% while other city departments like child care and education received 10% cuts.
Does this sound like community healing for the Black community to you? #DefundSFPD

1,483 COVID cases at San Quentin today.
This is HEARTBREAKING. There is a hunger strike, people are not getting needed medical care, there is NO WAY to stay safe while incarcerated.
@GavinNewsom This is a death sentence. Mass releases NOW. #StopSanQuentinOutbreak

This. This is why my team is carefully and quickly reviewing cases of all those sent to San Quentin from San Francisco to consider re-sentencing relief for those who can safely be released.

Going to therapy makes you better at resisting fascism. It is WILD how closely fascist politics map on to the ways that we, as individuals, avoid shame, intimacy, and vulnerability. How much the walls we build around our communities mirror the walls we build around ourselves.

Protestors gathered at San Quentin Prison today to protest the inhumane and negligent treatment of incarcerated people at the facility. The number of persons infected with coronavirus has soared to over 700. We demand action! #StopSanQuentinOutbreak #FreeThem

@GavinNewsom YOU have the power to save lives & grant mass releases. There are 30K people with less than 1 yr to serve, 5K who are over 65. Grant clemency NOW.

Wear a mask. That is, unless you want to be intubated by a gynecology intern July 1st who did her last semester of med school via Zoom.

Mayor @LondonBreed, please do YOUR part.
✅ Comply with Ordinance 069-20 & place people experiencing homelessness (PEH) in hotel rooms ASAP.
✅ Comply with CDC guidelines & stop clearing encampments w/out offering alternative housing.
✅ Stop policing & criminalizing PEH.
