It's a little ironic that for a decade we've been talking about how "AI will wipe out blue collar jobs but artists and intellectuals are safe" -- then AI (quasi) shows up and immediately starts doing art, writing papers + programming apps.

My TypeScript journey so far: 🥳 `strict: true` - Let's type all the things! 😑 80% of my dev time is now just googling... 😩 This is so slow and painful... `strict: false` 🤔 Ok, makes sense to add a couples types here Next phase TBD

You can make a case that React is past its prime, but the ecosystem is just sooo massive. At worst, I think React's fate will be like that of PHP's... it'll become seemingly clunky and uncool, but will remain widespread for decades.

Every piece of SaaS marketing advice I could think of after 6 years as a marketer: 1. Your "market" is not the people who *could* use your product. It's the people who are willing to *pay* for it.

I'm considering tRPC instead REST for the backend API of a new web app. My concern is... will tRPC still be a thing in 5 years?

The percentage of technical founders I talk to who are interested in building another company but "don't want to manage people this time" is nearly 100% lol

People are great but managing takes you away from your craft and adds stress. It's just untenable for many technical craftspeople over the long term -- myself included.

Macbook Air M2 is just so good. Walk out of the house w/o checking battery or grabbing charger. It's at 30%? Great, that'll last all day.

10 months since I sold my company. Finally feeling the urge to tinker this week. I've been kicking around this idea and wanted to play w/@tailwindcss. Is my design on-trend enough? Also, should I build this?

I don't think waking up early has any impact on success. I think to be really successful, you have to be really excited about what you're doing. And if you're really excited about what you're doing, you want to wake up and do it. Waking up early is an effect, not a cause.

I did a thing yesterday. And you know what? I'm kind of liking it. So long, hair.

This is where you’re going to end up whether you plan for it or not. You might as well plan for it.
Instead of overthinking your next SaaS idea - build a small SaaS factory. → Boilerplates → NPM Packages → Figma templates → Landing page starters Every time you fail - you tear the project apart, isolate the reusable parts, and turn them into building blocks.

I'm so excited for @maybe! I'm a big believer in the mission and invested very early on. Today they launched! 🚀 They're giving *you* control over your finances & wealth. No AUM or hidden advisory fees. Transparent, impactful tools to grow your wealth! maybe.co

The most common advice I now give to founders is simply "know thyself".
I realized I’d rather make $20k/month with no team than $100k/month but have to answer calls, attend meetings and be tied to other people.
