How awesome is this?! These emerging leaders walked into my office yesterday after school and asked to borrow some leadership books. Our students are changing the trajectory of our entire school and I am grateful to be here to cheer them on.

Pick the Right Hop
A lot of errors are caused by playing the WRONG hop. We let the ball play us instead of using our feet and attacking the RIGHT hop.
See the big hop and go attack it!!

If you are cheering for a teammate to fail or you enjoy it when a one does. You are the problem. Hate a guy or love him, you’re on the same team same goals. No matter how much I hated a guy I was always excited when they had success, that meant our team was succeeding. WE over me

Just b/c a coach calls “bunt” doesn’t mean their faith in you is low
IT’S THE OPPOSITE
It means “I have SO MUCH FAITH IN YOU that I’m trusting you to be in this line up TO GET A JOB DONE and help us win.”
TEAM BASEBALL IS TRUST BASEBALL
Serve your team, not your ego

“RUN TO SCORE”
That phrase was etched into my mind as a college freshman by our head coach, Fred Hill.
It was about effort, yes. But it was also about giving yourself a chance to score when the play may give you the window to do so…
Plays like this ⬇️

A teammate who holds you accountable, keeps you focused, & tells you the complete honest truth is so much better than a teammate who watches silently as your bad habits, bad attitude/selfishness affect your game, the team, everything around you. Real teammates never sit silently!

A bunch of college kids stealing bags, sparking rallies, and walking off with squeezes is the single greatest story in baseball right now …AND of course the freshman hitting tanks 💯
KEEP DOING YOUR THING, BOYS!
YOU ARE SAVING BASEBALL
