1,000 FOLLOWERS 🤯 Honestly, when I created my account on X (Twitter back then), I never imagined I would reach 1k followers. I've never been very active on social media or had a large following, but X has felt different. It's a place where I feel comfortable sharing my journey, opinions, failures and successes. Right now, I'm building Testimoon, a tool to collect, find and show the right customer testimonials. Last week, I got my first paying customer! And honestly, I don't think I would have made it this far without X. The people here have given me so much motivation, feedback and reasons to keep going. It's been great to connect with so many like-minded people who are also building things and sharing their journeys. Thank you all for being part of this journey! This is just the beginning! 🚀

Some visitors come back to my website again and again, but never sign up. They visit multiple pages, leave, come back a few days later, check other pages and leave again. I find this interesting because they are clearly interested, but something is stopping them from taking the next step. What would you do in this situation? Go through the visitor journey? Change the landing page copy? Add more social proof? Try to understand what is missing? I'm curious how others approach this. Do you actively look at visitor journeys like this?

So do I get 1k today or do we wait for next week?

My ugly number is $9 MRR with testimoon.com
Most “building in public” posts are just marketing with extra steps. The ones that actually work show the ugly number, not the polished screenshot.

If someone asks you for quick feedback or a small favor on X, take a few minutes and help them. Here's why 👇 First, it usually doesn't take much time. A quick look at someone's landing page, answering a question or sharing your experience can already help them a lot. Second, you're building connections without even trying. And here's something I've noticed. When you help people, they are more likely to remember you. Later when you need feedback, advice or a small favor yourself, you already have someone you can ask. Don't just show up when you need something. Build connections before you need them. A small favor today can lead to a great connection tomorrow.

Okay so how do you get multiple Claude subscriptions and switch them? Do I need create a separate account or what?

Yes, exactly. I don't want to be dependent on competitors' products for collecting testimonials, so testimonial collection is part of my product. But I want Testimoon to function more as a marketing tool than just a tool for gathering testimonials. Marketing through testimonials.

Interesting. I see your point now. So it's more a marketing tool than a testimonial.

I would like to connect my payment provider to DataFast but it doesn't have built-in support for Creem. Any change you're adding this, @marclou?

"Fill this room with everything you know about me" I wish I had a room like this 😅

Now I'm going to publicly roast every user whose website features fake testimonials 😂

Here's the interesting part. Later, when you need feedback, advice or a small favor yourself, you already have people you can ask. People are more likely to help someone who has helped them before. But don't make it all about getting something in return.

I got my first MRR last week. $9 from my testimonial tool, Testimoon. Feels absolutely amazing! And I'm hungry for more! But now I feel a bit lost. Every day I send DMs, talk to people, build in public, try different Reddit posts and all that. I have time, so I want to do more. But I don't really know what to do next. Should I just keep doing what I'm doing? I know miracles don't happen in a day, a week, or even a month. But I could use some inspiration. Do you remember your early days? What were you doing to get your first users?

Testimonial embedding widgets are so old-fashioned. They fight your CSS and cause layout shifts. I connected Testimoon to my coding agent through MCP. Now I can simply prompt Claude: "Add 4 best testimonials about ROI to the pricing page" It finds the right customer quotes and adds them as normal components using my site's own styles. No widgets, no fake testimonials. Setup takes a minute. The trade-off? Testimonials don't update automatically. You choose when to refresh them. I prefer having control over what appears on each page. And for the boomers, Testimoon still has good old embed widgets 😂
Your coding agent can now use your customer testimonials when building your website. Need 2 testimonials about ROI for your pricing page? Just ask. It finds relevant testimonials in Testimoon, checks marketing approval, and adds them directly to your code. No copying, searching or widget embeds. Powered by Testimoon MCP.
