The picture you see is no portrait of me, It's too real to be shown to someone I don't know, And it's driving me wild, It makes me act like a child

This excellent video should be shown in our schools rather than the nonsense of Black History Month.

Every single sentence in your post is untrue. Labour’s 2002 ‘deal’ had very little long-term impact on migrants trying to sneak into the UK by lorry/container/vehicles. It simply moved from Sangette to other routes. Between 2014-2019 55,000 came in that way — an underestimate since many came in undetected and disappeared into society. Unlike boat people, nearly all of whom are counted. So it’s an obvious nonsense to say people weren’t being sent back because nobody was arriving. Tens of thousands were arriving. They switched to small boats when major advances in technology, perimeter defence of lorry/container parks and detection made lorries etc too risky to take. That’s why, from 2018 onwards, the small boat numbers grew fast. Nothing to do with EU, Brexit, Dublin rules, fairy dust etc. Why do you peddle such falsehoods?
2002 deal Labour struck with 🇫🇷 helped tackle lorry migrants. But small boats rocketed post-Brexit: 299ppl 2018 to 45,774 in 2022. When in EU, Dublin Rg was a deterrent as ppl arriving illegally wld be returned, so v.few came. We didn't send them back because they weren't here

It's a Labour pysop to talk about Thatcher. The failed state we are now living under is entirely a Blair/Brown creation. The Supreme Court, the unaccountable Bank of England, the Human Rights Act, Tax Credits, Equality Act, Climate Crisis etc - it's all them.

I came across this yesterday. It's a parody of old-school Welsh-language craft TV and features Robert Webb talking in a mix of English and invented Welsh (at least, I assume it's invented!) teaching “the wonderful art of padlock folding, or Padlockigami.” "Bethwelly fanny. Jam."

The Normal - " Warm Leatherette". (1978). A solo project by Daniel Miller (future founder of the legendary Mute Records label), this raw, minimalist track uses only cheap synthesizers to create a robotic, unsettling punk atmosphere...(1/2)👇

In Parliament on Monday, I wrongly gave the impression that I support the use of military force against Israel. Those are not my views, and I apologise unreservedly. I do not support military action anywhere in the Middle East and have long been a campaigner for peace and conflict resolution.

Tahir Ali said in Parliament: "Is it not about time that military action was taken against Israel as well?" after calling for Israel's disarmament. He shared video of his speech before deleting it and apologising. thejc.com/news/politics/… timesofisrael.com/british-labour…

All Andy Burnham seems to offer is blaming Margaret Thatcher. As Kemi Badenoch said, his tired socialism would drag Britain straight back to the 1970s. Kemi didn’t hold back yesterday. Word is Andy’s now considering cancelling next Wednesday’s PMQs. {satire}

She didn’t ’crash the economy’. That’s a Labour propaganda meme. She did discombobulate the financial markets with a reckless budget, including unfunded tax cuts, which saw yields on UK debt spike. But she wasn’t in power long enough to crash the economy. GDP was untouched by her thankfully brief tenure. And, of course, yields on 10-year gilts are now even higher than when they peaked during the ClusterTruss.
You also crashed the economy

The best thing about this BBC campaign is that it encourages you to look back on the original version from which it takes inspiration. The only trouble is, watching the original makes you realise how significant the decline is - not only at the Beeb, but in Britain more broadly.
BBC has released a new campaign 'What has the BBC ever done for me?' It will air during tonight's World Cup final coverage.

In December, I wrote to the Treasury and asked them for details of how much different migrant groups pay in tax, and how much they claim in benefits. They just got back to me. Apparently, they don't collect that information because it's of "limited value".
The Government doesn't publish any detailed data on how much different migrant groups earn, how much tax they pay, or their employment rate. I've written to the Chancellor, asking her to publish the data in full or explain why she won't. We deserve the full facts on migration.
