I really didn't believe Chip Kelly could do it with this roster. I've never seen a more deserving Broyles Award winner at this point in the season, and I've watched a lot of Phil Parker.
The University of Texas is run by cowards. It wasn’t always this way.
NEW: After a Longhorns win 9/12, @UTAustin celebrated, posting an “apply now!” link & tracking who posted a photo with PJD (UT’s Jim Davis)
But 9/13, when Bo French posted a racist tweet about its student, UT was quiet. What happened behind the scenes⬇️

Nothing will change when the head coach thinks he is the program and the athletic director has proven consistently that he doesn't have the courage to make bold, but necessary, personnel decisions when it comes to football.
Cowardice is endemic in the University of Texas administration these days. It's much less consequential, but it extends to the athletic department, as well.
Annapurna Base Camp trek, Annapurna Sanctuary, Nepal.
8 days, 47.05 miles, and 23,984 feet of elevation gain with views of 2 of the 10 highest mountains in the world (Dhaulagiri and Annapurna) and stays in rural mountain tea houses. What a dream.
Sark has been far more arrogant in his play-calling, personnel decisions, and bizarre comments to the media these past few years than he was when he got to Texas.
Maybe that’s a byproduct of winning, but this program can’t win a title without some reflection by its coach.
This is so surreal. I never could have imagined this when I was covering games at “old” Ryan Field 10-15 years ago.
Death penalty proponents describe a world where there is a clear line between victims & perpetrators. That’s not the reality.
Tennessee trying to execute people for child rape, while also trying to execute a victim of that abuse, shows this fallacy.

One opening for Dems in the culture wars is that the average GOP staffer these days is a “retvrn” dweeb who knows nothing about sports.
🤡 Eric Schmitt beclowns himself during Jack Smith hearing 🤡
Schmitt concocted an elaborate conspiracy theory that Smith traveled to Atlanta to go to a Hawks game and collude with Fani Willis, and briefly displayed his "evidence" on a poster board before accusing Smith of perjury. There's just one problem -- Schmitt's facts were totally wrong. Smith was actually in Maryland at a Hawkeyes (not a Hawks) game and never met Willis. As Klobuchar told him, "You have your teams wrong."
Here's the whole deeply embarrassing sequence:

This is the government working to cap the pay of Americans. Wild times.
It will always be funny that the “merits-based” admissions system these people implemented in Texas and claim to want has resulted in a more diverse student body than any affirmative action program ever would.

I cheered the win for the team. It was a great game. But I weep for the families in Texas who can’t get into UT because they prioritize foreigners over Texans. Shame on you for ignoring that fact.

Texas state law requires at least 90% of UT Austin freshmen to be Texas residents. International students comprise only ~4% of recent freshmen and compete with out-of-state applicants for the ~10% non-resident spots.

It was gratifying to hear the Travis County District Attorney's Office acknowledge in court that Michael is innocent -- more than 26 years after he was wrongly sentenced to life in prison. We are hopeful the courts will provide the relief he deserves. kxan.com/news/local/austin/1…

@PROreferees hey Philly just scored a goal because your linesman missed a very obvious out of bounds call

BREAKING: DHS IS BULLDOZING THE MOUTH OF SANTA ELENA CANYON.
DHS waived every single environmental law, now they’re butchering the most iconic part of Texas’ crown jewel national park. All happening the day after a massive protest right here and on the morning CNN left. This is an indefensible attack on Texas’ natural heritage.
