If you saw the Oppenheimer movie and wanna know more, I highly recommend this journalistic masterpiece published in the August 23rd, 1946 issue of the New Yorker newyorker.com/magazine/1946/…
Was invited to visit a maker space run by Minato-ward 港区立産業振興センター. Fashion & fabrication tools (including 3d printers/plotters & so much more) were mind blowing✨. 天国みたいでした〜。Can’t wait to make use of them. Thank you Miss Haruka @dandan001 for inviting me. 💕
Wow. So playful and fun to watch.

Went to Tokyo Sandbox today which is an indie games showcase here in the motherland. It was kinda overwhelming at first but I saw many games were so amazing! Here are some of them:

I also enjoyed playing @ButtoBird split screen 4player flying battle bird game. It was very Maverick/Top gun and with a perfect balance of skill to master. They gave me this cute sticker.

Ran a new workshop “What’s a Button?” in Japanese today. I’ve been studying quite a bit but I need to do better! It’s pretty cool to do the teaching artist stuff in the motherland tbh. Feeling grateful. ✨
Oh man using Twitter as my back up server for my mastodon account may not work soon cause of the api issue. And to think all those fun Twitter bots gone in an instance. Smh. It’s like taking the play out of play dough and you just get dough. You know what I mean?
Running a wrkshp on Sunday called “What is a Button?” Taking a close look at the button as an entry pt to explore/discuss how we engage w technology. I’ve taught similar content hundreds of times in the US but never in Japan. It’ll be in Japanese. Been studying my ass off (1/2)
Testing light weight clays for a project. Japans clay game is great. Karugaru (the kids one) was super lt weight & easy to use but didn’t do well on details. Premier was slightly heavier but great details. Will prob use premier for my project.
Have spent a few months figuring out what I feel comfortable w on social media. Still kinda dunno but I know I wanna microblog abt stuff I’m working on, trying out, etc. Here is current state:
Tooting accnt loneliness.academy/@kaho on an instance of one (just me lol) running off of a raspi in my kitchen. I’m using Twitter as my backup server ok.
