All these years waiting for the killer app of quantum computing. And the answer is now quite clear: teaching quantum physics to AI!

An Anthropic researcher just told a room full of PhD students that their career plan no longer exists His 3 pieces of advice for students: 1. Use AI every day. If you're on the exponential, you'll never fall behind it. 2. Choose projects that get better when compute scales. The rest will be solved before you finish them. 3. Stop planning your career as if it were stable. The safe option no longer buys safety; it no longer exists. And a phrase that sums it all up: "Writing is thinking. If you outsource your writing, you outsource your thinking." The talk is titled "The End of the Anthropocene"

Incident: We were sitting in a restaurant on Train Street, Hanoi. Our table was looking at the tracks. A set of Italians were sitting behind us and there was a continuous murmur between loud conversations. One of my friends noticed that they were talking about us. We turned and they asked us, "which country?". We said "INDIA". There was a sigh of relief and their reaction said it all and smiles came back to their faces and they started talking to us really well. One of the Italian ladies in their crowd woke up and said that she thought I looked like a Pakistani cos of my long hair and was scared. We all started laughing and I showed my Aadhar Card which said Govt of India! All of them laughed and I also felt relieved. That's the reputation of Pakistanis across the world. So, why wouldn't they hide their identity?

Geoffrey Hinton says the more we understand how AI and the brain actually work, the less human thinking looks like logic. We're not reasoning machines, he says. We're analogy machines. We think by resonance, not deduction. “We're much less rational than we thought.”

Neththi adi. Bull's eye.
Shouldn't an army Major be remembered for his bravery rather than his caste? Then, why are some RW handles being "casteist" in demanding an accurate portrayal of Major Mukund's roots in his excellently crafted biopic Amaran? A thread that offers nuance on biopics (1/10)

Moral of the story is you should never trust Kollywood in its present form. Even if the makers or actors have no ill-intention, the ecosystem will make sure their “narrative” is preserved in every-way. Unfortunately we expect the victims to be scapegoats & victims yet again. அவர்கள் வலி நன்றாக புரிகிறது, உணர முடிகிறது. அனைத்தையும் தாண்டி, Something is better than nothing என்ற மனநிலைக்கு நாம் தள்ளப்படுகிறோம். நம்மை அறியாமல் we are forced to compromise. In the process, let’s not hurt anyone. Especially our own people who stand with us always.. 🙏 This too shall pass. 🙏

Who said caste cannot be changed after birth… When ‘woke’ #Dravidiyals ( Dravidam + Vidiyal) decide to mock a Brahmin .. they show him with vibuthi/Tiruman wearing Poonul … When ‘woke’ decided to honour a Brahmin’s achievement .. they remove his ‘poonul@ even in his bio-pic …. #PoonulRemovingDravidam

Perfectly articulated. Love the Oppenheimer analogy. Shame on the Tamil "cine field" for repeatedly committing such open theft of identity of national heros. Utter lack of integrity. It's not about glorifying one community, but rather about accurately portraying a hero's life.

Shameful dishonesty, lack of integrity. When you call it a biopic, portray truthfully.
Movie 1 - Soorarai Pottru. It is based on Captain Gopinath who is a Brahmin. Captain Gopinath’s wife named her bakery as ‘Iyengar Bakery’. But @Suriya_offl who played Captain Gopinath is not only shown as a non-Brahmin, he is a disciple of EV.Ramasamy (who openly called for killing all Brahmins). Needless to say lead female character who runs a bakery is also a non-Brahmin. It doesn’t stop there, the movie inspired by a Brahmin couple has an opening scene portraying Brahmin in bad light. “இந்த வாயெல்லாம் பஞ்சாமிர்தம் நக்குறதுக்கு மட்டும்தான் திறக்கனும், புரியரதோ இல்லயோ” Movie 2 - Amaran. Biopic of Major Mukund who is a Brahmin and again @Siva_Kartikeyan playing the title role has been portrayed as non-Brahmin. The same Tamil movie industry doesn’t hesitate a bit to ridicule, mock and abuse Brahmins in 99% of their movies. Movie 3 - JaiBhim. Movie based on true incident. A police character responsible for killing an innocent tribal man was shown symbolically as Vanniyar whereas in real life he is a Christian. Tamil movie industry’s hatred for certain communities is well known and one cannot expect them to change their course. But why to distort facts while taking a biopic or movie based on true incidents?

The Producer, Director and the acting crew have surrendred to satisfy the Dravidian agenda in the name of Biopic. Xian identity is no problem. But, Brahmin identity doesn't satisfy D-Stock. #MajorMukundVaradharajan soul will not forgive these jokers. I'm NOT watching #Amaran
