Early voting begins tomorrow. Vote as if the future of public education depends upon your vote . . . BECAUSE IT DOES!

Just wondering why one @kprc weather person only wears black suits. Good looking suits, though.

Great question!
Are you a thermometer or a thermostat? That was my challenge to our leaders at today’s monthly Instructional Leadership Team meeting. A thermometer tells you the temperature. It reports the conditions that already exist. A thermostat sets the conditions. As leaders, we can’t simply identify what isn’t working. Leadership requires us to ask, “What conditions am I creating for something different to happen?” If we want instructional excellence, we have to create the conditions for it through administrative excellence. Our goal isn’t for excellence to be exceptional in Aldine. Our goal is for excellence to become normal - every classroom, every campus, every day. And there was plenty to celebrate today, too! We kicked off Principal Appreciation Month by celebrating all of our amazing principals, with a special congratulations to our Principal of the Month, Mrs. Robles of Marcella Elementary! We also celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month and the culture, contributions, and traditions that make our Aldine community so special. We learned. We celebrated. And we challenged ourselves to keep getting better. Leadership matters. Be the thermostat. Set the conditions. #chooseAldine
