I was to plant them until I realized they get carry loads of green scales which affect almost all fruit trees. Quite an easy decision to make between fruits and a flowering tree!

I'll never tire of posting about the most amazing fruit of all time! Do you still have those traditional avocado trees at home? If you do, nurture them, protect them and pass them on to the next generation. I know the grafting guys will come for me, but buana, that sweet, creamy, old-school avocado hits differently! Hass and the other modern varieties have their place, but we can't let our traditional gems disappear in the name of modern farming. Some trees are more than just trees. They're part of our heritage. Do you believe in retaining traditional varieties?
