We've done in-person races, virtual races... and now, even fake races!

A race recap!
I did the 35k Eigertrail with 2'500m of elevation in Switzerland. It was fabulous.
We did the Tankwa Trail last weekend!
A 3-day event: 5k fun run, 20k run on Saturday and Sunday. 😀
I won the 2nd prize in the "Matriarch" category... 😬

Ran up Table Mountain twice for the Cableway Charity Challenge.
Great fun! 😊

Enjoyed the wonderful trails of the De Hoop nature reserve in South Africa.
The once nearly extinct bontebok antelope is thriving.
Also had open-air showers 😀
For those of you who enjoy race recaps, here's one from my ultra race last Saturday. 😊

So happy to have completed a 76k ultra in South Africa yesterday. 😀
The last few kilometres were tough and ugly...but so glad I finished!
Thank you all for your encouragement during the months of training! 🤗
Last long run until the ultra race in two weeks. 😊👍🏻

New blog post with lots of sunny photos.
What is it like to run along Cape Town's promenade?

Back in Cape Town and continuing the ultra training.
All the elevation of this run was in the first 21k. I need to find a better route. 😊
A slow 15k due to the icy paths.
I always get very cold hands despite hand warmers and several layers. 🥶
And I also get knots in my hair from wearing a hat.🙄
Nonetheless, I prefer the outdoors to the treadmill.😀
Finally no snow or rain in Zurich!
A 20k in preparation for the 4-hour long run tomorrow. 😊
How long are your long runs?
2, 3, 4 hours or longer?
A hot 20k today.
Went to Cape of Good Hope yesterday, so I added coastline photos from that too.😊
Have a wonderful day everyone!
A glorious 20k on the trails today.
It was 30 degrees Celsius and I forgot sunscreen but fortunately, we had a lot of shade. 😊
Rest day! 😊
Checked out Simon’s Town and neighbourhood. 👍🏻
Tomorrow I’ll be back with running pics! 😊
A lovely hike up Table Mountain!
It took us 1h 10min and 3‘500 steps. It’s like a giant staircase.
Great training, but I think I'll feel it tomorrow! 😬
Last week I had one of those inexplicably bad runs.
I think we all get them from time to time.
What is your strategy for overcoming them?
Plod through? Abort?
