Ran into someone who recognized Raisin from The Internet and I realized that even after owning her for six years, I still don’t have a good way to explain her to strangers. She’s just… like a little alien operating a body, so please don’t expect her to dog. 😅

Appreciating every little joy I can right now.

I have a brown BIL; he’s an immigrant (from a “shithole country” according to our president elect). I have a trans niece and trans friends. I am a woman with bodily autonomy. These things shape me, but we shouldn’t need these things to have a basic moral compass. We failed.

Too old and tired to make a pilgrimage out of the city like I did for the light show in May, but the balcony view is giving a tiny hint!

I know the internet means the phrase to be used ironically, but there really ARE cathedrals everywhere for those with the eyes to see… ily, Washington.

My hometown in Western NC has been absolutely devastated by Helene. Cell service is down so reports are hard to come by. So far those I know and love are at least safe, but this is life-changing damage for so many. Certain areas are simply… gone.
