This is a reminder that there will be increased signage and Patrol presence in school zones from our elementary schools to our high schools. Lamar ISD returns to school Wednesday, the 8th, and Ft. Bend ISD goes back Thursday, the 9th. The brunt of this winter storm is expected to hit at the end of this week, so prepare to drive with extra caution and give yourself plenty of time to get to where you need to be.

January is School Board Recognition Month, and all month long, we’re shining a spotlight on our outstanding school board members who make a difference every day! 🌟 First up is none other than Fort Bend ISD Board President, Kristin K. Tassin! Mrs. Tassin began her journey of service to FBISD in 2014, serving on the Board of Trustees for six and a half years, including as Board Secretary in 2015 and Board President from 2016–2018. This year, she continues her leadership as Board President and serves as chair of the Audit, Governance, and Special Education Committees, while contributing as a member of the Literacy and Vision & Planning Committees. She also acts as Communications Liaison, Legislative Liaison, and Safety & Security Liaison for the district.
