Eric has written a great and authentic post that is worth the read. I applaud him for making himself vulnerable. He will help thousands and maybe more with his words. Well done, sir and hang in there during this tough journey back.
Something I’ve never talked about publicly: I got divorced three years ago. I hear from a lot of guys going through marital issues or divorce now. I don’t pretend to know what’s right for anyone else’s marriage or life. But when someone asks how to get through it, my advice is pretty consistent: I’m not pro-divorce (the opposite, actually). But if you’re going through it, there’s a lot of good life on the other side. You might not see it yet. That’s okay. Be kind to yourself. Ask for help! Don’t suffer in silence. I had lots of people in my corner. One person in particular, @pinpulleddrmf, deserves a special thank you for the countless hours of conversation and support. If you have kids, keep showing up. Give them love, stability, and room to have their own feelings. If they’re okay, you’ll be fine! Put your energy into what you can control: your choices, your words, and the parent and person you want to be. Focusing on fairness or anything you can’t control is total waste of time. Three years later, my life is filled with lots of love and happiness and I’m grateful for the life I’m building and pumped about what’s ahead. And for the entrepreneurs reading this: give your life outside work the same care and attention you give your business. I know you don’t believe me, but it CAN happen to you! Make time for your relationships. Have the tough conversations. Ask for support before you feel like you need it. It might be too late! Being able to handle a lot doesn’t mean you have to handle everything alone. If you’re in the thick of it right now, I’m rooting for you. You’re going to be OK! 🫡

Big win for my home state. HQ to Porsche, Mercedes and home to a massive plant for Kia. Now this. Cars are good for business!

This week’s Built Weekly looks at how Spirit Halloween keeps finding a home in space other retailers left behind, and why landlords are happy to have it. A fun one to share this spooky season! linkedin.com/pulse/making-la…

PERRY — President Donald Trump on Saturday announced German automaker Audi will spend $4.2 billion to build its first U.S. manufacturing facility near Macon, touting the massive project at a campaign rally aimed at boosting Georgia Republicans ajc.com/news/2026/10/audi-to…

AUDI JUST PICKED GEORGIA. The CEO of Audi walked out on stage with President Trump tonight and said they plan to build their biggest, most premium SUVs in Macon. Not Germany. Georgia. For years we were told those factory jobs were gone forever. Trump said they'd come back, and now a German luxury brand is putting its first American assembly plant in the Deep South. That's what leverage looks like. That's what winning looks like. Georgia, remember who brought this home when you vote on November 3.

Talked with a senior executive at a national retailer this morning. All he wanted to talk about… AI and how it’s impacting their business. They have previously unimaginable insights into consumer behavior now. And he said he’s personally able to save almost 20% of his time by using AI to compile data and reports for internal use. It’s happening.

Having conversations with class A office landlords frequently. In many cities in America, we are starting to run out of large blocks of office space. This is causing bidding wars and rate increases like I haven’t seen in a long time. Buckle up, buttercup.

Our amazing research team at Cushman & Wakefield just wrapped up the Q3 numbers for Atlanta office, and there’s a lot worth sharing. Atlanta’s office market recorded 920,667 square feet of new leasing in Q3 2026, bringing the year-to-date total to 4.4 million square feet. Renewal activity rose 24.4% from the previous quarter and driven by sizeable renewals across the metro. Cushman & Wakefield’s Q3 2026 Atlanta Office Scorecard also shows where leasing activity was concentrated across metro Atlanta submarkets. See the full scorecard for a closer look.
