For what it's worth, the Lakers have had the third-best transition defense in the league so far this season.
On top of that, it's been the best transition defense Luka has ever been a part of (on-court possessions), both in terms of PPP allowed and the fewest % of possessions where the other team has a man advantage.
Whether this is more effort from Luka getting back, better insulation from the rest of the roster, or just randomness remains to be seen. That said, it hasn't been an issue for the Lakers so far.
Max Kellerman goes after Luka Doncic:
"Know what's really going on when Luka Doncic argues with officials on every single offensive play? It's crystal clear. When you're jawing at the refs, you're not sprinting back to defend. Combine that with his lazy footwork, and suddenly it's 5-on-4 the other way
They should & will retire the jersey. Bron chose to come here when the brand & team was at its lowest. Brought a title. Was the main voice navigating us through the Kobe tragedy. Did the relationship go on a season or two more than it should’ve? Sure. But he’s in the pantheon imo

All of us at Marvel Studios are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. Sir Patrick brought Professor Charles Xavier to life with extraordinary grace, intelligence, and humanity, defining the character for generations of fans, from "X-Men" to "Logan" to "Avengers: Doomsday." He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman. Our hearts go out to his wife Sunny, his children, his friends, and the countless fans around the world whose lives he touched with his art.

Kessler has been a massive rim protection upgrade for the Lakers
The raw rebound numbers from Kessler (in tandem with team rebounding struggles) have drawn some criticism, but in fairness it becomes more challenging to secure rebounds when consistently challenging shots
