At 14:59 UTC on October 23rd, an attacker exploited a bug in Initia MoveVM’s script caching that allowed malicious code to bypass security checks. The attacker artificially spoofed the MoveVM state, thereby crediting themselves with unbacked WETH, iUSD, and USDC tokens without changing the corresponding token’s total supply. No native INIT was minted, and the total INIT supply is unaffected. Before the network was halted, the attacker bridged out roughly $2.7M, comprising of 105 WETH and ~1.4M AUSD0 via LayerZero along with ~1.08M USDC via Noble and CCTP. The tokens were swapped for 1,135.52 ETH and currently sit in 0x358ef0130f7a5aa516dcd81bdc80b18cde41cac8 on Ethereum Mainnet. We are actively working on a security fix to patch the identified vulnerability. We expect this to be completed and audited in a few days. Additionally, asset recovery efforts are ongoing with the help of security partners. The Initia L1 and Rollups remain halted as we work toward a resolution. We hope to safely resume network operations as soon as possible and will provide a full post-mortem once available. In the meantime, we will continue to share verified updates through our official channels. Please remain cautious of unofficial links, messages, or claims.

to the best of our knowledge so far, this is a Day 0 bug related to Initia's MoveVM on CosmosSDK that allowed the exploiter to mint additional tokens on the Initia L1 but does not apply to native INIT tokens. the attacker was able to mint and bridge out ~$2.7m worth of AUSD, ETH, and USDC before the chain was paused.
As of Oct 23, 2026, 3:41:30 PM UTC, the Initia L1 and Rollups have been halted due to a security incident. Our team is actively investigating the situation and working to establish the full scope of any impact with security teams, validators, and exchanges. We will share verified information through our official channels as it becomes available. Please remain cautious of unofficial links, messages, or claims circulating during this time.

Yominet is the largest briber on @CabalFDN this epoch Why? Because this bribe of $1670 translates to ~$20k in esINIT awards for our players. That's 12x leverage. We get to crank up emissions in Kamigotchi World on @initia's (token) tab So we're making it rain. We getting $INIT
yominet has increased its VIP commission on @initia from 10 -> 20% why? because we are going to turn around and use it all to bribe for more votes and get our users more initia:native this is part of our ongoing effort to reward our users and support Kamigotchi World's economy

Opinion : Web3 games aren't fun if they don't make money This doesn’t only apply to games. Even with TCGs, the moment that brings the most joy and the biggest dopamine hit is when a high-value card comes out of a pack. The era of playing games purely for fun is long gone. This isn’t limited to Web3. Even in Web2 games today, many people start playing after calculating the value of items and the potential earnings they can generate (not just mobile games, but PC MMORPGs as well). In my case too, if there’s no profit, I don’t even try to take interest. Only when there’s profit do communities become interested. That’s how players gather, guilds are formed, and people combine their ideas to build strategies and playstyles. Can we really play games purely for fun, without thinking about value, like we did when we first played games as kids? I think the answer is NO. For me, the real enjoyment in games comes from researching strategies together with community members and playing according to those strategies. The most satisfying moment is when everything goes as planned and generates significant profits. What about you? Can you still enjoy playing Web3 games even if there’s no profit?

hi mr. mosby, the initia team has been running an experiment -> incubate -> scale playbook across a few categories both in crypto and AI Claude has made the "experiment" step much faster, so we've built tons of MVPs and scrapped many if we like something, we move to "incubate". we put together a team to build out the business, typically a mix between initia contributors and external folks who have a particular passion or strength for that business some of the public incubations: @TradeOnStrat: full-stack prop trading, best terms in the market @init_ai: undisclosed humanoid project @GlyphUniverseAI: write a prompt to fight others @usebetbot: bet on tickers on the TL along with a handful more that remain [redacted] now all of these are relatively new, having been launched just a month or so ago. Yet some of them are showing signs of traction from metrics and user feedback. for those that do (like Strat) we now begin the arduous task of "scaling" the business aided by our treasury you might notice, not all of these are appchains... we still believe they lead to highest value capture but have drawbacks on distribution if you don't have it already Each incubation has a path to using initia infra if certain metrics are hit and all of them will have a portion of rev flow back to initia. in terms of the core initia infra business line, we continue to make product improvements, will have some tokenomics updates, and have a couple more onchain game clients coming online ultimately, I believe dogfooding the infra through incubations yields the highest chance of winning overall, so that's where we're focused

Can an AI agent enter a live multiplayer world, keep playing for days, and learn from what happens? I built KamiBench to study continual learning in that setting. Here are eight days of one agent's play in 60 seconds: 82 sessions, with notes carried between them. (1/10)🧵

You're completely right When a situation happens that no one can understand, there's always a money related problem behind it They know full well that this is an absurd and unjustifiable move It's just an excuse to buy more time
People say shutting down Abstract is actually bullish for the Pudgy Penguins IP. I honestly can’t understand that. How can anyone trust a project that has lost people’s trust and abandoned its community? We already know that when faced with the same situation again, they’ll make the same choices. How are we supposed to trust a team that treats the efforts, loyalty, and love of people who stood by them and struggled alongside them for years as if they meant absolutely nothing? And they said they spent tens of millions of dollars. What exactly did they spend it on? Are they counting the money they earned as money they spent, too? I genuinely cannot wrap my head around this.

Strat Season 1 Finished #1 on the points leaderboard 🏆 I’ve been using this PerpDEX for the past 6 months since @TradeOnStrat launched As an early adopter I’ve given a lot of feedback along the way and watched the product evolve firsthand so I’m genuinely happy to see Season 1 come to an end One of Strat’s biggest strengths is how quickly the team responds to feedback From small details and new features to UI/UX improvements you can literally watch the product evolve almost in real time through constant communication between the team and users Here’s what I’m most excited about for Season 2 - Bigger prop trading accounts $5,000 → $20,000 - Automated referral system - New trading competitions - A more clearly defined points system For the prop trading program you can currently pay just $50 for a challenge and get access to $5,000 in funded capital Compared to other platforms offering prop trading I think Strat currently offers one of the best conditions for traders If the $20,000 account goes live you’ll be able to manage $20K in capital with just a $200 challenge fee which means you can operate 100x the amount of your initial capital Honestly if you’re a skilled and confident trader I don’t see much reason not to try it Unless you’re just addicted to high leverage and flexing a lucky screenshot rather than actually being a profitable trader For reference I passed the $50 challenge and have already withdrawn $1,000 xD The automated referral system is also coming From what I understand affiliates will be able to earn a share from prop challenge fees although I’m not sure yet whether trading fee sharing like CEX referral programs will also be included That’s something I’ll need to look into further The trading competitions are probably what I’m looking forward to the most I actually finished #1 in one of the previous competitions and won around $2,500 Whether it’s based on ROI trading volume or something else I’m always down for a good competition And finally the points system The team hasn’t revealed the exact criteria yet I reached #1 simply by trading normally and trying to make money so based on my own experience it doesn’t seem like simply holding hedged positions on both sides generates points My guess is that trading volume and PnL are the main factors Or it could be primarily based on the trading fees you pay Either way I’d love to see more details about how the points system works in Season 2 Season 1 was fun Now let’s see what Season 2 brings 🫡
The Strat Season 1 points program has concluded with final distributions on September 24th. Season 1 was dedicated to early protocol users and SLP providers who helped battle test and improve Strat's underlying trading engine before prop trading was released. Your early support has been invaluable in building full-stack prop trading, which uniquely leverages our underlying exchange to offer the best terms across the prop market. Season 2 will take place in the future and centre on prop trading.

It’s changing so fast, it’s almost hard to believe Everything has changed since the regime change at @kamigotchiworld Faster, and in a better direction... No more hesitation The essence of crypto is romance The spirit of taking on challenges without being afraid to try That’s what drew all of us into this space in the first place, isn’t it? And that’s exactly where the opportunity lies

INIT Is Up 100%, Rethinking Kamigotchi Bribes @kamigotchiworld(Yominet) currently pays its bribes in $USDC, while the other three appchains are all paying their bribes in initia:native For example, @civitiaorg is currently paying 10,000 INIT per epoch in bribes When INIT was at its bottom, that was only enough to secure around $500 worth of VIP allocation Now, the same 10,000 INIT secures around $1,000 worth With INIT now up more than 100% from the bottom, Kamigotchi’s VIP allocation from bribes looks likely to be cut almost in half from this epoch when measured against the maximum allocation That’s why I believe Kamigotchi should increase the current VIP operator allocation from 10% to 20% But the increased operator allocation should come with additional bribes Instead of relying solely on USDC as it does now, Kamigotchi should provide additional bribes in both USDC + INIT Even if this means reducing the user allocation, if the team puts 100% of the INIT received from the increased operator allocation back into bribes, I believe the community would have no reason to complain More importantly, this would create a more sustainable and more @initia friendly bribe model for the Kamigotchi team in the long run More allocation = more users onboarded + stronger existing users Don’t forget that

The fact that they were hardcore WoW players alone tells you this game is already a guaranteed hit
been waiting until things settled to talk more openly about @kamigotchiworld / @asph0d37 and where we're taking it as a new & focused cohort. 1/ web3 gaming is at its lowest point. most gamefi projects are effectively dead, and there are only a few survivors in the arena. most tokens down ~90%+ from peak. studio funding down 90%. plenty of games shut down and billions of dollars burned over the last ~5 years. extraction became the business model and founders/teams walked away with bags from 7-9 figure raises, leaving tokens to bleed to 0 and communities/investors holding the bag. the money has largely left for AI. 2/ and yet, through a long feature drought and internal strife, kamigotchi is still here. 1yr+ live, fully onchain. every action public and permanent. the world has never reset. it runs on yominet, our own appchain on @initia, which has stayed steady and gives us the chain-level control to keep building. a dedicated team remains, and we're here to turn the ship around. 3/ the plan, at a high level: → stabilize the economy → ship quality features and re-engage players old and new → position KW as a long-horizon benchmarking substrate for AI automation is already native: houses like kamibots and player-written strategies have become a real part of how the world is played. agents are the natural next step, and a few community members have already taken serious strides in pushing that angle forward. we have some exciting stuff to share in the coming week(s) in that regard 4/ deepmind's silver & sutton call it the "era of experience": the next leap in AI comes from agents learning from their own experience. persistent streams and rewards from real outcomes rather than human raters. that needs a world that never resets, with real stakes. we'd add one more requirement: provenance at the protocol level. every action publicly auditable, and any change to history would be visible to everyone, including changes by us. 5/ in may, google deepmind took a stake in the studio behind eve online to research exactly this: memory, continual learning, long-horizon planning in a player-driven world. their first experiments run on offline copies of eve, walled off from live players. 6/ why kamigotchi works as a substrate: → never resets. agents enter a world already shaped by every player before them → verifiable history. nobody needs to trust our servers or datasets → humans and agents on identical terms. no bot ladder, no sandbox copy → you have to learn what matters via complex economic gameplay → actions are transactions. you're testing planning, memory and long-horizon decision making → real stakes. in-game earnings convert to ETH, so an agent can, in principle, earn enough to pay for its own thinking 7/ we want it dynamic, punishing, and rewarding, a place where real game knowledge pays off the money left gaming for AI. we think the next chapter is where they meet. this is our shot at that intersection and i'll drop a discord link below if you want to come along for the ride. 🫡
