We need to embrace the sharing of truth in its entirety, even when it is uncomfortable or challenges long-held narratives.
They invited her to Berlin thinking she would praise them. Instead, she exposed their blood-soaked history. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie didn't hold back. She exposed the ultimate Western lie. They teach their kids to "help the poor Africans," but completely erase the fact that Belgium’s King Leopold turned the Congo into a personal slaughterhouse. Millions murdered. Hands chopped off for rubber. They don't teach the truth because the truth is a debt they can never repay. Watch this. Bookmark it. Teach your children who the real savages were.

Absolutely! Resignation creeps in, hope fades, and the will slowly dies.
Wherever a society is held captive by race, tribe, clan, or creed, its artists, poets, writers, and dreamers are often the first to walk out of the cage. While others guard the old lines of blood and belief, they are busy listening to the stranger’s song and finding in it the echo of their own. That is their gift and their exile: to belong a little less to their tribe, and a little more to the world.

I had a wonderful time connecting with our incoming Assistant Governors and District Officers, District 9218. 💙💛 The 'meet and greet' on October 17th was an opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and strengthen our shared commitment to leadership and service.

There is a loud silence about the contribution of the assault on civil society organisations and the ongoing gross human rights violations in Uganda to the current struggle of the economy, the unprecedented weakening of the Uganda shilling, and the rising cost of living. Yes, there is Ebola stuff and all, but there is also this loud factor in the country’s face. Pretending about it won’t address it.

A stolen watch doesn't become yours just because you pass it down to your children. So why apply a different rule to stolen labour, wealth and land? Reparations are about inherited benefit and inherited loss. Time doesn't erase injustice.

This must have been traumatising for Dr. Candia. Even suspects deserve dignity, safety and respect. I can’t help wondering what the law in Uganda says about forcing suspects under vehicle seats during transport and whether this is something we’ve simply come to accept.
Imagine just because of pocketing while talking to a minister, a doctor is treated this way.Fellow Ugandans, for how long are we going to continue being oppressed for doing our jobs? What's goingto happen to the patients who were left strandedin the facility?😭😭cry my motherland

Food for thought: How do we teach our children to harness technology safely without exposing them to its dangers?
Guys, send your kids to private school🔥🔥🔥 If you are poor, you have no business having kids 💔

The Ugandan Activist Charged over a SIM Card, and for Calling a General a Cabbage On September 26, 2026, plainclothes security operatives abruptly seized 27-year-old human rights activist and law student Praise Aloikin Opoloje from Namungoona Police Station on the outskirts of the capital Kampala. Her sudden transfer into covert custody immediately sparked accusations of a state-led abduction, drawing fierce outcry from civil rights organisations until police confirmed she was in legal custody. Two days later, Opoloje was formally arraigned before the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate's Court. Despite the intense scrutiny surrounding her detention, the official charge against her was remarkably administrative: the unlawful use of another person's SIM card to commit illegal activity. Opoloje pleaded not guilty and was remanded to Luzira Women's Prison, where she remains held as investigations proceed. The actual trigger for her arrest was not a bureaucratic registration fault, but direct political commentary. Defence Intelligence and Security operatives flagged Opoloje after she posted a viral TikTok video aimed at General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Defence Forces and son of President Yoweri Museveni. In the recording, she disparaged the army chief, calling him a "fearful brat" who depends on others to think for him and mockingly claiming he had a "cabbage in his head." Investigators traced the social media activity to an MTN SIM card registered in her mother's name, treating her online criticism as the underlying offence. Her case highlights the delicate position of youthful activism in Uganda. While her methods are sometimes seen as extreme and provocative; she previously gained national attention for radical anti-corruption tactics, including leading a nude protest outside Parliament, her work is equally rooted in formal civil rights. A runner-up for the Martin Ennals Award and winner of the 2025 EU Human Rights Defenders' Award, Opoloje regularly uses her legal training at Makerere University to teach citizens their constitutional rights. Her imprisonment reflects a growing rift: for supporters, she is a courageous reformer facing selective state prosecution; for critics and authorities, her confrontational style tests the bounds of lawful political opposition. Still, some note a detail in the actions against her that might signal an important shift. Many who previously crossed Muhoozi were taken to the “basement” and tortured, some for perceived aggravations lesser than Opoloje’s. It will be interesting to see if her case turns out to be the unlikely first light of dawn following a long period of darkness.

It's inhumane. How can anyone turn a blind eye. How can someone be this vile? It’s absolutely heartless.
My heart is broken. Impossible to imagine how the mother is coping. #FreeSamMugumya #StoptheTorture #MugumyaisLoved #MugumyaHasRights

A young man is locked inside a house, the door is sealed with nails, the house is set ablaze, and he dies days later! And life just moves on like nothing happened. Who had an interest in this young man? Has the Uganda Police made any statement about him? Why is there so much insecurity in our country? Who killed Musoke Paul? 😳
