We are near the end of the game. Win or lose.
1. Which side are you still/were you, before this week,
2, Which side do/did you anticipate to be,
3.. Which side did you decide to be, and why.
Ruben was born in a private zoo in the mountains of Armenia.
When the zoo’s owner died, the facility closed. The other animals found new homes, but nobody came for Ruben, a 10-year-old lion.
For the next six years, he lived alone in a concrete cell. His roaring gradually stopped. Those who checked on him heard only an occasional cry.
Eventually, Animal Defenders International (ADI) stepped in and arranged to rescue him.
Ruben was moved to a bear sanctuary in Armenia for treatment. Years of poor nutrition and almost no exercise had left him weak. His legs trembled when he walked, and veterinarians suspected spinal problems.
Because his transport crate was too large for a regular flight, a cargo airline generously flew him to freedom at no cost.
On August 23, 2023, after approximately 15 hours in the air, Ruben arrived at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa.
For the first time in nearly six years, he could hear and see other lions.
And then something beautiful happened.
Ruben began roaring again.
The sanctuary staff say his roars have been growing louder ever since.
His new enclosure includes grassy slopes and a shelter with heated floors. Staff even gave him a bag of catnip, which he happily played with for a long time.
Ruben still faces serious challenges. Cataracts cloud his eyes, and sometimes his legs give way beneath him. He will need specialized care for the rest of his life.
But now, he is no longer alone.
He lives among other lions, enjoys the sunshine, and has finally found a place where he can feel safe.
After six years of silence and isolation, Ruben’s roar has returned.
And this time, the world is listening.

When Dr. Larissa Portnoff was a child, she competed in Miss Teen USA, one of 3 beauty pageants Donald Trump owned from 1997-2015.
Four women who competed in 1997 as children later said Trump walked into the dressing room. Now, Portnoff reveals much more. 1/3🧵

Thank you, Dr. Portnoff, for your bravery in speaking out. The Epstein files will all come out and hopefully people involved will be prosecuted. I agree, it is organized crime.

Trump child sexual abuse victim, Psychologist Dr. Larissa Portnoff, publicly accuses Donald Trump of 3 decades of sexual abuse / exploitation from aged 8:
"I thought I could escape a pedophile ring. DOnald Trump very specifically targeted me, repeatedly and in very sexually exploitative ways. It was very clear he knew what he was doing. And since then, since turning 18 I have had a number of interactions that are inappropriate, abusive and constitute sexual exploitation from him and his inner circle.
"Over the past year I have been contacted by DJT though what I believe is a political fixer. I think it was a form of witness intimidation. I think he also tried to sexually exploit me again. He had invited me to the Yankees game on Sept 11 2025..
"What this is is organized crime. I can say with certainty that this is organized crime, and has to be investigated. It has to do with very powerful and dangerous individuals and it intersects with national security issues. We need to get the corruption to stop. We need to use our voices . We need to get Donald Trump out of office. And if you think you're going to intimidate me Donald Trump it's not going to work. Whoever tried to make an attempt on my life following my report...
"I'm not afraid of you."

🇫🇮🇺🇦 SANNA MARIN WARNS: PUTIN WON’T STOP AT UKRAINE 🇷🇺
Former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin has warned that expecting Vladimir Putin to willingly end the war ignores what she believes he is ultimately trying to achieve.
“He wants to restore the Russian Empire, and there is no such thing without Ukraine.”
Marin argues that Moscow has little incentive to negotiate seriously while it believes Western governments can be pressured into making concessions.
Her warning goes beyond Ukraine. She believes European hesitation risks encouraging further Russian aggression, particularly if Moscow interprets diplomatic caution as a lack of resolve.
“We should be much stronger, much stricter.”
For Finland, which shares a roughly 1,340-kilometre border with Russia and joined NATO in 2023, these concerns are hardly abstract.
Marin’s argument is that a tougher response to Moscow should not be mistaken for a desire for war. In her view, credible deterrence is precisely what makes further confrontation less likely.
The question she raises for Europe is uncomfortable: if Russia sees restraint as weakness, how much restraint actually makes Europe safer?

Bill Clinton on Trump:
I've known President Trump a long time. We used to have quite a friendly relationship 24 years ago. We'd play golf.
He kept saying, "We're the biggest, strongest, richest country in the world. Why don't we just put a bunch of tariffs on everybody else and stop paying taxes altogether?"
I said, "Well, because, Don" — he was Donald then, not Mr. President — "because these people don't just eat the tariffs. They just charge the people who buy the stuff, whatever it is. So we pay the tariffs."
And he, just like now, didn't hear what he didn't want to hear.

When he is rejected and betrayed by those once called friends. When allies grow weary, politicians negotiate, and some are already poised to shake the hand of the executioner. When his life and the life of his country are daily targets for rockets, drones, bombs, and lies. I have no idea how this man has endured all this. And continues to endure it.
He does not look like a movie hero. He looks like a man who hasn't slept in years. He has been cast aside. With eyes burning for the homes of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa. With eyes that see all of Ukraine. He asks for no pity. He courageously asks for weapons. He does not flee. He stands his ground and bares his chest. When offered evacuation, he says: "I need ammunition, not a taxi." And this is not just a catchy phrase. It is a choice proven over years. Every day. Every night. Right now.
He has been betrayed and continues to be betrayed. He has been underestimated and continues to be underestimated. He has been insulted and continues to be insulted. He has been put to the test and continues to be put to the test. And he stands tall. In the shadow of ruined cities. With weary soldiers. In the shadow of a world that is also weary—a world that wants to forget this war in Ukraine and think of something that causes no suffering or stress, something pleasant. Yet he reminds everyone. He speaks to people as if holding their hands. And there is something in that which brings a lump to one's throat.
In all my life, I have never admired any public figure more than him. And I think, perhaps, I never will again. Because such admiration is not about politics. It is about a man who, when everything is falling apart, does not ask "Why me?" but—like a knight—does what must be done. I am certain he will stand firm, even if it costs him his life. Even if all his friends leave. Even if the whole world turns its back on him. He will not betray his principles.
The entire world respects him—not because he is perfect, but because he is the strongest of them all, because he has raised the banner of the highest values: human dignity, freedom, and democracy. And all of Ukraine stands with him—weary and wounded, yet unbowed. Perhaps in the future, you will vote for someone else in the presidential election. That is your right. But today, let us respect him. We have a president who deserves respect and of whom we need not be ashamed. May he have strength and patience.
Volodymyr Oleksandrovych deserves kind words and every form of support today. So let us give it to him—it is our duty!

Three blacklisted oil tankers carrying 140,000 tons of Russian fuel are circling in the Atlantic.
The White House reached out to American traders, urging them to purchase Putin’s diesel—but not a single buyer answered the call.
Panicked by a surge in fuel prices just ahead of the midterm elections, the White House struck a deal with the Kremlin on October 9 to circumvent import bans. The administration expected Wall Street traders to jump at the chance to acquire cheap Russian diesel; instead, they treated the cargo as if it were nuclear waste.
Why? Because the legal implications of such a deal could be disastrous for them. In 2022, Congress explicitly outlawed the import of Russian oil.
A paper exemption issued by the U.S. Treasury carries no weight against a congressional ban—meaning any trader who touches Russian diesel or gasoline risks federal imprisonment and a subpoena from Congress.
The chaos at sea is Kafkaesque in its absurdity.
The tanker *Agioi Fanendes* departed St. Petersburg bound for New York, only to come to a halt in the middle of the ocean, now awaiting "further instructions"—maritime shorthand for "we are drifting aimlessly because no one wants to buy our cargo."
The rest of Putin’s "shadow fleet" is faring no better. The *Talisman* is blacklisted by both Washington and Europe, while the *Leruo* is banned across the EU, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Yet, officials in the White House—aligned with Trump’s agenda—have been working the phones, attempting to secure berths for these Russian vessels in American ports. But Wall Street’s reaction was ice-cold. Even with Moscow offering substantial discounts, grey-market oil traders have kept their heads down. Former U.S. Treasury officials have already warned that any contact with these vessels would be corporate suicide; consequently, 140,000 tons of diesel are currently adrift in the Atlantic without a single buyer in sight.
Meanwhile, Congress has taken a hard line.
Democrats—along with some Republicans—have warned potential buyers that they risk committing a federal crime, while Senator Blumenthal has sent formal warnings directly to the shipowners, demanding that they turn their vessels around immediately.
New Jersey Representative Mikie Sherrill—a former naval officer and federal prosecutor—has labeled the Trump-linked deal "corrupt and illegal." She has already prepared a series of measures to block major East Coast fuel terminals in Bayonne, Linden, Carteret, Perth Amboy, and Port Reading.
With American ports closed and the threat of congressional action looming, Washington and Moscow are scrambling to find a way out of this predicament. Energy experts suggest that, with no American buyer willing to take the risk, the rejected Russian diesel will likely have to be offloaded in South America at rock-bottom prices—resulting in a loss.
The White House’s desperate scheme—an attempt to circumvent federal law, lower diesel prices ahead of the November 3rd election, and funnel money to Moscow—appears to have failed. Much like the ships in Putin’s "ghost fleet," they are left wandering the seas and oceans, with nowhere to dock…
