i'm going to make money on the 2027 economics nobel. this year taught me three things: the favorites lose, the markets miss whole laureates, and my board was ready before the markets. so research starts now, the bets go in when the markets open, and i make real money from people talking about money.

stop using these: curate: you're not a curator, you're shopping storytelling: it's marketing. you're selling a widget democratized: you made it cheaper, it's not a social mission authenticity: hand-wavy word for a color palette and set of fonts gatekeep: no one is gatekeeping, you were just ignorant

Q3 State of the MIKE Economy: A quarter without full employment. Health set a record, wealth sat on a one-time cushion and drifted (as expected), productivity spent a sixth month under 100. And... I ran my share price against all indicators. Nothing correlates.

Aug was the economy's best month and the market made only five trades. Sep, the softest month, was the busiest market. A share of me is apparently not a claim on my net worth...

i met a friend at a cafe in kosovo and he was on his phone. instead of scrolling socials he was VPN'd into his PC and recreating an old mobile game that no longer exists from memory and reviews. this is what we do for fun now, and why i love the current energy of the internet.

last night at shareholder poker, nick looked down at ten-seven of diamonds, five-handed, tables about to merge, with the big stack in the blinds. this was a pivotal hand for Nick, and now you can step in and see if you're smarter than him...

The Econ Nobel went to Robert Hall and Michael Woodford. My forecast had Woodford 3rd. Hall was 45th and not even listed in the markets. That makes the markets 0 for 6 on picking winners of the Nobels. But it gives me enough confidence to start betting next year! My full analysis: nobel.quarterly.systems

But I have my own rankings! My board had Woodford in the top 4 from Sep 17, nineteen days before any market would sell him. The day Polymarket opened he was 8 cents. $1 on each of my top 5 that day: $4 in, $12.50 out, +213%. Top 3 missed, because my third was Steven Berry and no market listed him. In 2027 I will bet the board for real: nobel.quarterly.systems/upda…
