📌A Retrospective on Key Milestones: Panellists traced the evolution of UNCLOS mechanisms, celebrating landmark cases and decisions that have shaped global maritime governance.
📌Contributions to Peaceful Dispute Resolution: This session highlighted the tireless efforts of judges, arbitrators, conciliators, registrars, and staff in upholding the rule of law and ensuring amicable and equitable dispute resolution.
📌 Development of the Law of the Sea: Experts discussed how UNCLOS mechanisms have advanced international maritime law, adapting to emerging challenges like environmental concerns and territorial disputes.
📌Forward-Looking Proposals: The final session sparked innovative ideas to enhance the efficacy of dispute settlement mechanisms, ensuring they remain robust in a rapidly changing global landscape.
