Democracy, liberty, freedom of speech/expression, Rule of Law, Equality before the Law and Child Protection are not fascism or 'coded far right'
They're principles/rights that protect us all
You cannot defend freedom/liberty by ending them, or defend democracy by destroying it
If you believe
Elections must be cancelled/rigged to stop fascism
All violence is resistance
Destruction, burning, looting is justified rebellion
You force others to affirm your worldviews
Maybe, you're the very thing you claim to be against
Maybe you're one of the bad guys

To know which accounts are pretending to be ordinary but in fact professionally driven by a political party, Whitehall or their agencies to nudge/influence millions

I appreciate/respect those who have faithfully supported a political party and its ideals throughout their life
But politics today has moved beyond debate to fuelling division and dehumanising opponents to win votes
Disagreement should nvr cost us our humanity or mutual respect
Around 70 million people live in the UK
Each with unique life experiences, nuanced opinions, ideas and questions
Yet we must all fall into these two divided political camps
Left <-> Right
And we must hate anyone not in our camp
And die on that hill
Nah, it's delusional
We pick a side
Hate the other side
Dehumanise other side
Turn a blind eye to the lies on my own side
Defend to the death the inconsistencies on my own side
Believe everything anyone says on my side
Dying on the hill of partisan politics is intellectually bankrupt
Imagine emerging from the shadows a week before an election, delivering someone else’s carefully scripted rhetoric
Your fee? $400K minimum
The applause sounds, the crowd laps up every word
And you walk off the stage with $ millions for selling a message you didn’t even write
In a world fighting for our attention, libraries remain wonderfully democratic
The radical beside the traditional, the absurd beside the profound
No algorithm/Ai deciding what we encounter, no demand that we agree
Just ideas patiently waiting to be found, minds free to wander

The measure of a free society is how confidently we protect the right to disagree with each other
I believe Andy Burnham et al - working symbiotically with Whitehall - will oversee UK transition to a place where protected groups are immune from scrutiny, disagreement & critique
If I enjoy the rights/freedoms of speech and expression in the UK while using those very freedoms to demand the silencing of those whose views differ from mine, I am not edgy, I am subversive
The measure of a free society is how confidently I - we -protect the right to disagree
I meet far too many people who openly advocate silencing/violence against those whose political views differ from their own and/or don't affirm their pov
They forget that protecting freedom of expression means protecting ours and others right to disagree without fear of violence
