Advice that you can’t take is worthless. Advice you can take, but choose not to, makes you worth less. Apprentice for boomers with small local businesses with local customers. Listen to their boomer stories. There are USGov loan programs specifically for you to buy an existing business. They have low-no down payments. They’re affordable and structured around how much the business actually brings in, so you’re not out of pocket every month. The process isn’t hard. It’s so easy in fact, Somalians and sub continentals can do it. And do, all the time. This money is going to be given to somebody so if it’s not given to you, you have only yourself to blame. Boomer will retire or die, he’s either going to sell his business to Black rock or to you, the kid he knows and likes, and most importantly, the kid he knows cares about his business.
