The Crown Estate is worth £16.7 billion making £1.2 billion in profit last year. They're chasing out the UK's oldest Indian restaurant, Veeraswamy. The Crown Estate wants to refurbish the building and create a larger entrance for offices upstairs, allowing it to charge higher office rents. It says the work requires removing Veeraswamy’s separate entrance and cannot proceed with the restaurant remaining there. Veeraswamy disputes that eviction is necessary. Its owners say they have offered to share the enlarged entrance, accommodate the works and match the rent expected from office tenants. The Crown Estate has rejected those alternatives. The estate has offered around £500,000 compensation, while the owners estimate relocating would cost £5 million. Labour keeps talking about reviving our high streets. Yet here is Veeraswamy, a cultural landmark with a century of history, facing eviction so its landlord can command higher office rents. It reflects a familiar problem across the country: the places that give our high streets their character are sacrificed for greater returns. If Labour is serious about revival, protecting that heritage should be part of it. Any plans to step in and help @RNBlake (if you aren't already)?
Veeraswamy, the famous century-old Indian restaurant in Regent Street, London, begins its court battle today against the Crown Estate, the King’s property manager, which wants to force it to move. Veeraswamy offers some of the best Indian cooking anywhere on earth.

Trump is in massive danger. Democrats have now released a 50-page report accusing Trump of being an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein's abuse of young women. They're now setting up an independent counsel to investigate Trump's ties to Epstein. The DOJ is also set to face scrutiny over attempts to obstruct previous investigations and carry out multiple cover ups. It keeps getting worse. Democrats, through the Senate Finance Committee, are preparing to investigate JPMorgan's relationship with Epstein. JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank and Bank of America were red flagged internally for years over suspicious money transfers to Jeffrey Epstein. But the warnings were ignored. The banks continued processing transactions worth more than a billion dollars to Epstein. All three banks could now face aggressive investigations. If found guilty, all three banks could be completely destroyed. Trump's close friends and business partners, who frequently visited Epstein's island, will also come under investigation. This could lead to multiple arrests and a complete political collapse.

The story in Paraguay is insane. The Epstein class took over the banking and political systems and used PUBLIC MONEY to enrich themselves. This is what’s happening EVERYWHERE. That’s why it’s being ignored. It’s all part of the plan.
UPDATE: 🇵🇾 PARAGUAY’S PRESIDENT RESIGNS IN DISGRACE AFTER “FRAUD OF THE CENTURY” (FYI, similar conditions exist in our countries…) Paraguay’s President, Santiago Peña, has been forced to resign in DISGRACE, after shocking details of his MANY connections to what’s being described as the "biggest FRAUD of the century” came to light. 1. Peña was a business partner of the conglomerate that owns Ueno Bank, the largest digital bank in Paraguay, until 2025… 2. Peña personally accepted two “highly irregular private loans” directly from Ueno Bank during his tenure. 3. Peña used his presidential platform to shield the bank from inspectors, aggressively dismissing financial warnings as "fear-mongering" to keep public money flowing into the fraudulent bank. 4. Shortly after becoming president, he appointed Ueno’s former chief executive to run the country’s central bank… Think about that. The person overseeing the bank previously ran the bank… The fox was literally guarding the henhouse (we have the same situation in the west..) And guess who is on the hook to bail them all out? The taxpayer… AND THATS NOT ALL 1. Under Peña, Ueno Bank started as a niche digital app and suddenly became the government's preferred bank. Funneling MASSIVE State Wealth into his friends pockets. 2. This included LOOTING PENSIONS by forcing ~$380M of workers' health and pension funds into Ueno. 3. While the government was pumping public money into Uneo, executives were quietly shoveling it out in the form of MASSIVE UNCOLLATERALISED “INSIDER LOANS” The taxes, life savings and pensions of citizens were used as a personal slush fund, with no assets left behind to cover the bad debts. By the time it collapsed, 25% of all the bank's deposits consisted of public funds…. Opposition lawmakers are FURIOUS, 8 bank executives have been arrested. 27 other bank officials and business associates face severe criminal charges. Don’t forget, this could happen ANYWHERE. Our banking and market systems are corrupt and stressed. My advice? Save in physical gold and silver.

I flat-shared with 4 others in London age 20. I had finished Uni...worked a good job Selfridges, slept on friends floor to try save for my own place closer to town. A flatmate was a loud obnoxious Australian, scary even, everything was shouted..he was horrible, I avoided him, he would find ways to demand more money from me. I paid towards council tax and some towards 'floor' as well as of course my part of general bills too so we never knew why he was being so vile..aside from vile sake... I came home from work to a flat party at 8pm. I was handed a coke, I can't drink alcohol, I have crohns..it hurt to drink. I have ZERO recollection of anything until 6am, i was ontop of him, he was SA'ing me fully. I was a virgin saving myself. I am autistic, I had serious issues with people touching me. I immediately jumped off..horrified...there were others in the room one guy watching it all...I still can barely speak of this..but there is a point. I IMMEDIATELY packed my suitcase. I was so confused...I had no idea what happened...I was sore..tired..and utterly confused. My friend who's floor I slept on was still asleep. I left to go to nearest tube...he chased me the whole way repeating 'it's just sex..what's your deal, what's wrong with ya?' I now can't even listen to Australian accents...I never said a word. I got on the tube his voice ringing in my ear.. I went to my nearest friend who was In Oxford. I got bed in a hostel until I could gather my mind. I had interviews at MTV and TV channels all set up.. I didn't want to return to scotland. I had bruising on my neck..arms, absolutely brutal cystitis..i was torn up 'down there'. What did I do? I disassociated. I did not know what the hell I had done all that night. I could not figure it out. One year later my friend got married. That beast was there, I froze in fear. Infront of everyone in hotel breakfast he shouts 'Why you ignoring me..i fucked ya' what did I do? I just didn't respond..I was frozen....he had terrified me in such a deep way...I froze..am sorry...thats what happened. TWENTY years later. I am a mother, lost a child, my own mother died, covid hit..my marriage failed..moved country..son struggling autism, i had a tumour nearly kill me, then my crohns..it was A LOT.. and I ended in therapy It was not until then I could piece anything together. 1- I openly disliked this man, people knew I avoided him ad was afraid of him..I would NEVER have consented ever, even drunk...and...as I mentioned i can't drink, Id throw up. Only one answer, he drugged me. On top of SA..he could have killed me, with crohns you don't know what your absorption is doing, so dangerous...I as able to sit and piece it together when I could face it...and it took 20 years... so I don't judge anyone who 'took 20 years' to report.

A Gates Foundation-funded research team released about 16,000 genetically modified male mosquitoes in Bana village, near Souroukoudinga in western Burkina Faso On August 11, 2025. It was the first release of its kind in West Africa. Eleven days later, the project was dead. On August 18, judicial police raided the IRSS research institute in Bobo-Dioulasso. They sealed offices and laboratories, marked them as crime scenes, and searched scientists—including their vehicles—on the suspicion they might be carrying mosquitoes in their pockets. On August 22, the Ministry of Higher Education terminated all Target Malaria activities across the entire national territory. The communiqué cited "national interests." The remaining mosquito samples were ordered destroyed. The government did not accuse the researchers of a biosafety failure. It did not cite a regulatory breach. It said the project was over. Target Malaria had operated in Burkina Faso for over a decade. It had approvals from the national biosafety agency. It had community consent from the villages where releases took place. None of that mattered in the end. A foreign-funded project had been conducting an experiment on Burkinabè soil, and the Burkinabè state decided it would no longer do so on terms set elsewhere. This is what sovereignty looks like in a laboratory. Not a slogan about independence. A sealed door, a destroyed sample, and a ministry communiqué that says: not here, not on these terms. The Gates Foundation has poured billions into African health research. Some of it has saved lives. But funding is not authority. A cheque does not buy the right to decide what happens inside a country's borders. Burkina Faso made that clear in eleven days. Africa is not a play ground !

In Fahrenheit 451, the chief book-burner, Captain Beatty, describes how reading became obsolete because the public demanded increasingly fast-paced entertainments, and those entertainments slowly corroded their ability to think. “Books cut shorter. Condensations. Digests, tabloids. Everything boils down to the gag, the snap ending. Classics cut to fit fifteen-minute radio shows, then cut again to fill a two-minute book column … Many were those whose sole knowledge of Hamlet was a one-page digest in a book that claimed, ‘Now at last you can read all the classics.’ … School is shortened, discipline relaxed, philosophies, histories, languages dropped, English and spelling gradually neglected, finally almost completely ignored. Life is immediate, the job counts, pleasure lies all about after work. Why learn anything save pressing buttons, pulling switches?” In this passage Ray Bradbury foretells the intellectual hollowing out of the working class, the advent of AI-generated “summaries” of classic novels, the attention-frying culture of short-form video, the relaxation of educational standards into non-existence. All of this in a book published in 1953.
Starting to really understand why a core theme of dystopian novels is that nobody reads

Russell Brand is now a convicted rapist. Understandably, the focus will be on the man himself and what he’s done, but today I’m thinking of the women who came forward. Having gone through a rape trial myself, I know just how much strength is required. Today, they’re my heroes.
