One of my favorite horror games of all time is getting remade. youtu.be/HE5EEz3t0Xw via @YouTube
A quick gotcha with @Alpine_JS . Make sure to use this.close() in the x-data object. If it's just close() then that's window.close() and well...it'll close the browser lol!
I'm enjoying the flexibility of @eleven_ty data files. Here I'm using a .yaml file to generate an HTML list of Skills for my updated portfolio website.

Scott, one suggestion I have is to break up the text on mobile screens as it's too congested in my opinion. It's also looks like it's text-justify which leaves for odd spacing (not my preference).
Later I'll be posting my new site for critique on the @OrlandoDevs Slack too.
As a musician it's odd that I never got into watching live performances until recently.
This group is probably one of my top favorites and if I could sing like anyone it would be Sia.

Now, that it's over I can say that I was able to pass a coding test for a local company. Got some great feedback and will be adding the application to my portfolio.
Planning is important to me. Not too much or too little. @DavidKPiano intro'd me to state charts. Even though it's a simple app I want to defin. the limits on how an app should operate. It's limitations that foster creativity and encourage completion.

@unclebobmartin I've bought two copies of Clean Code from @amazon and there are several printing errors. I thought you may want to know so you can reach out to the printing/publishing company. Text is missing and cut off. I'm currently looking outside Amazon to purchase.

Engineering Daybook 1/16/21: Emmet is a tool built into #vscode that can do more than suggest what to type. It can create html element structures. Ex: ul with 3 li that have a span with class 'hello#' where # is a number incremented. -> ul>li*3>span.hello$

Engineering Daybook 12/11/20 - Microservices in Node.js are a method for building apps that makes development more flexible, reliable, scalable (not always), faster (not always).
Drawbacks:
Not always right choice.
Complexity
May not scale

I read an article from @GermanGamGon about an engineering daybook and started picking up the practice. You write down something new that you learn in the day.
12/02/20 - ECMAScript modules can be dynamically leaded when they are called as functions.

For react-testing-library using queryBy is specifically for asserting elements that should not be present. It's useful because it doesn't throw an error if none are found. I learned this from @kentcdodds article Common mistakes with React Testing Library
