Can't believe this has to be said but adult creators do not lose the right to say no because they make NSFW for a living. Choosing this career is not blanket consent to harassment or being treated like public property. Nobody owes you interaction because they took their clothes off on the internet.

OnlyFans Creators are pissed that Meta lets Muse talk dirty
Meta’s AI agent Muse is allowed to sext with adult users — but the same creators say their Instagram accounts get restricted for adult content. Here’s the breakdown:
Muse is Meta’s always-on AI assistant (think: manages your calendar, email, daily tasks). It launched to millions of users via Instagram and Facebook, and Meta has confirmed adult users can have explicit, X-rated text conversations with it — just no images or videos. Meta says it won’t “block legal adult behavior.”
Vanniall, an OnlyFans creator with 100K+ Instagram followers, says her account is currently restricted and can’t be viewed without logging in. “It’s not fair that they get to pull money out of people with their sexually active AI agent, but they won’t let real people, real adults, engage in any sort of sensuality or sexuality.”
A Meta spokesperson says a “private, one-to-one conversation between an adult and an individualized AI agent on a platform restricted to people 18 and over is very different from the marketing and promotion of services on a social media platform.”
Creator Jiz Lee traces much of this back to FOSTA-SESTA (2018), which led many platforms to censor adult content. Platforms like X and Bluesky do allow adult content — many creators have migrated there. Lee also wants transparency on how Muse was trained and whether anyone was compensated for their data.
Tony Genius says he’s on his 7th Instagram account in 5 years just to stay visible. Genius points out the irony: Meta gated Muse for 18+ users but won’t create an equivalent adults-only space on social media. “It could be: Instacam.”
AI is allowed to do what human adult creators get punished for. For sex workers who depend on mainstream social platforms to reach audiences, it’s a frustrating — and expensive — double standard.

Update: looks like we have the cause. A critical flaw was found in PHP, the code that runs most of the internet. Agencies worldwide (incl. the NSA) told sites to patch fast or go offline. OnlyFans and others doing “planned maintenance” fits exactly. They took sites down to fix it. Thanks to community members who came through with this info on the op!
🚨 Heads up, several adult sites are having problems right now. It’s not just you.
Two different things are showing up. OnlyFans and SextPanther are showing planned maintenance screens (intentional downtime). Other sites are throwing CloudFront errors, that’s Amazon’s CDN, so there could also be an AWS-side issue hitting some platforms at the same time. Whether the two are connected isn’t confirmed.
There’s also a separate security story going around this month about compromised certificates used to impersonate big sites (Ars Technica, Oct 20). No platform has linked it to today, so treat that as unconfirmed too.
Nothing to do but wait. While sites are flaky, don’t re-enter your login anywhere that looks off, and ignore any DM or email claiming to “restore” or “verify” your access. Outages are prime time for phishing.
