I just want to get a few things off my chest.
First of all, please be very careful about how much you sell your valuable cards for, especially serials. I heard from a source that fake sales are being created on eBay and the payment is cancelled afterwards in order to manipulate the market and push prices down. How much truth there is to this, I honestly can’t say, so take it with a grain of salt.
We’ve already seen something similar happen on CM. At Utrecht, many people got screwed over and sold their Flame-Flame Laws for €500 because they were supposedly listed on CM. Yes, they were listed but you couldn’t actually add them to the cart. The whole thing was fake…
The next point is tickets. There need to be stricter consequences for people who don’t cancel their tickets. I found out today that the Prague Regional still had almost 70 spots available, even after many people had already arrived without tickets and bought them on-site. That’s honestly unbelievable. I didn’t want to drive there and take the risk of going without a ticket, so I decided not to go.
And lastly, please take care of your health. I’ve said this before, but I will never shake hands with people at events again. I don’t mean it in a bad way, but after Utrecht/Athens I got seriously sick. I even ended up in the hospital and I’ve been seriously ill for almost two weeks now. I’m currently on antibiotics.
I can only advise everyone to take care of their health, especially at events. I keep seeing players coming out of the bathroom without washing their hands… 🤦🏻♂️
This is actually insane… no one should feel insecurity or fear at a freakin TCG Event thinking they might get robbed, jumped or whatever. Clearly the TO has failed in many ways aswell. @ONEPIECE_tcg_EN Take action and responsibility towards that!
🚨DALLAS RECAP🚨
Likely the most eventful weekend of my life.
It's gonna be a long and serious post eversone should read if they care about this game. If you want the drama, skip to chapter 2.
Chapter 1, We are starting off with the most important aspect of this weekend: The People.
Coming to America for the first time was a bit scary initially, but so many people made it a very worthwhile experience. @SunZacky being my absolute goat, helping get settled and threating me like a brother, to everyone else from our discord and me stealing @ImAzireTCG's charger🤣
Where are my Pickle something something flavored cheetos?? @RaidenRTY
Another big s/o to everyone that welcomed me to the 3v3 Invitational, especially @trysoju for thinking about me when planning it all <3 meeting so many new people/friends as well as my cope goat @HiThereJosh, congratz on your first T64❤️ Europe has your serial!
#freeDrago
Chapter 2: @PlayTCGOfficial
The Main Event, BCF Dallas had a lot of ups and downs. I was very lucky to meet a lot of great people and opponents as well as getting lucky do to well, winning a Law, an EGB "Win" and another T64 Ace on Sunday. But thats about all of the positive things I can say about the event itself.
If @sormiltcg was the Event Manager of PlayTCG, i wouldn't be surprised. I understand running an ~5k people event is not an easy task, I dont mind delays and a few hick ups here and there, EU was like that, but we managed to finish it, as planned, without too much of an issue.
I'll adress this in even more detail in an videos recapping the entire weekend, but this event felt like it was organized on the fly. Finals on Friday, 12pm Start on Saturday, 6:30pm start EGB/TC, when they KNOW they have to close at 11. Hosting a tourament for the sake of hosting a tournament, not to create an competitive enviroment. 7 Rounds, no real winner. I was the lucky one to "Win" such an Event, but it didnt feel very much like it. The worst was yet to come.
Chapter 3: Prize Pick Up / Dallas
After Registration on Friday, rumors about people getting robbed, held at gunpoint even, started spreading. This is of course not PlayTCGs fault, but for those who saw the Fake/Giant Flame Flame Fruit, it was acknowledged and accounted for.
After Saturdays events finished at around 11, people started to get a little bit nervous after PlayTCG forced top 8 to pick up pricing that day. People started joking about us being jumped. This is an absolute safety issue for everyone involved. I was genuinely adraid and concered about my safety. After about an hour of making us run from one place to another and forming multiple different lines, they made us sit down, cause they hadnt even prepared and packed pricing yet🤣
At this point they offered us to collect it the morning of. This wasnt a decision made for our safety, it was to their convinience. At this point everyone was gone and us taking our pricing or not, the outside wouldnt know so the risk is the same. Basically everyone stayed. Nobody wouldve if we had this option to begin with. Some more bad orga stuff happend, but 1:30-2am ish we left the venue, escorted by multiple police officers each. Them escorting us for 20 Meters isnt going to make this any more safe. I dont think i've felt this unwell mx entire life.
I was warned Play wasnt doing great in the past, there are a lot more things little things to be annoyed about (Flame Flame Topcut Round on Saturday, no Infos about Sign Ups for Sunday etc.), but I genuinely hope this event doesn't go unnoticed, people will speak and @BandaiNamcoEU @ONEPIECE_tcg_EN will listen. We cannot have this repeat itself, PlayTCG has clearly failed on all ends possible and shouldnt be trusted to host events on this scale again.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for everyone who made this event not the worst experience ever.

For anyone in Glasgow:
This bag was recently stolen from me off a First Bus going from Glasgow Fort to city centre, if you see it around please get in touch ❤️
It had a bunch of trading cards, headphones, car keys and highly sentimental items in it.

Hi everyone!
I'm launching a small survey that I believe could have a big impact on the competitive One Piece Card Game scene.
I'd really appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to fill it out, and a repost would mean a lot to help it reach more players.
If we get enough responses, I'll present the results to TOs, Bandai, ..
Thank you all for your support! ❤️

If we start seeing and hearing anyone generalizing and discriminating anyone from any background, culture, orientation, etc, you will be ejected from said event and the community.
Be better.
Mid weekend in Wolverhampton, went X-2 at the Treasure Cup to a Top64 with LAce. Had great company and a fun time though.
Honestly wanted to make this post to try addressing something that happened this weekend in my games.
During game's setup I had a couple opponents calling me a cheater to my face over the fact I'm Italian. I think I get the fatigue, but at the same time I don't think random judgments like that are justified. If you think I'm sketchy definitely stare at my hands the whole game, shuffle thoroughly and all that, but don't come to me and just offend me over my nationality.

8-1 into 8-3 with Yamato in Bielefeld - painful losses in the last 2 rounds 🥲
I was happy to showcase the decks strength and hope a couple more people will pick it up and invest the time into it! 😋
Check out my guide over at Metafy:

I would also like to add to speak with the Head Judges/TOs about Judges if you feel ruled unfairly. Stay calm and talk non heated. Those people also want every tournament to run smoothly
If in any Game/Tournament something shady happens, always call a Judge and if the judge doesnt have the balls to really do something call the Headjudge.
If you are sure it was intentional. Write an Email about it to [email protected].
Stop being quiet
