let the widespread panic caused by the ao3 outage remind u as fanfic writers that the work you put so much love and effort into is appreciated by so many more people than the few assholes who come on twitter to be mean and miserable and pretentious ☀️☀️☀️☀️💛💛💛💛

we are working on an FAQ for all things re: ao3 explosion. in the meantime we won’t be answering alterspring msgs about it, unless it is something very urgent (in which case a dm is ideal anyways!) thank you all for your understanding!! we will get through this together 🥲🤝💗

hi slickfesters! as many of you have seen, AO3 is experiencing issues and may be down for a very extended period of time. we know this isn’t ideal with our schedule, but at this point there is nothing mods can do but wait for updates alongside you guys.

the concept of random online people deciding which fanfictions get Accepted and Rejected 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

everyone knows fanfiction is mostly written for fun, but that doesn’t mean we have to accept writing from people who barely can form a sentence + as with every “hobby”, isn’t improving your craft kind of the point? you wouldn’t applaud someone who sucks at any other art form

“i DONT accept your fanfiction because it’s not up to MY standards ❌❌❌❌” is anyone hearing themselves. it’s posted online for free you don’t have to read it nor click on it in the first place that is the extent to which your “acceptance” of fanfiction goes omfg
