In a historic upset, Lula defeated Flávio Bolsonaro in Brazil’s presidential election, a result of mass popular mobilizations. But the fight against the Far Right, which gained in Congress and elsewhere, must continue.

To defeat the Far Right, workers and youth must organize independently against deportations, war, and austerity. Their electoral alternative should strengthen those fights, not hand them to the party that helped create the crisis.

The mobilizations showed a clear rejection from the masses of the Far Right and U.S. interference in Brazil. They will be all the more necessary to fight the Far Right which made gains in Senate and regional elections.
